  • Patent number: 5775501
Abstract: Daylight loading packaging for photographic paper in the form of rolls comprising lateral, annular flanges and a casing lengthening piece welded to the flanges, which casing lengthening piece is connected at one end to the start of the paper roll and is free at the other end, the flanges presenting a concentric annular hole the edge of which is welded to the edge of the roll tube and which on one side of a paper base has at least one blackened layer forming a light barrier, at least one aluminium layer forming a vapour barrier, at least one layer which increases resistance to puncture, and furthest away from the paper base a layer which permits welding to the casing lengthening piece and the roll tube, and which has on the other side of the paper base a layer of a synthetic polymer applied by extrusion which imparts a tension to the material which prevents an inward collapse of the flange (seen from the roll).

  • Patent number: 4994838
Abstract: An arrangement for wet processing running lengths of exposed photographic reversal film has a pair of rinsing tanks downstream of a developing tank in which the film undergoes an initial development. The film consecutively advances through the two rinsing tanks. A liquidtight container is mounted on the inner surface of the second rinsing tank adjacent to the path of the film and spans the width of such path. At least a portion of the container is disposed below the level of the bath in the second rinsing tank and this portion of the container is provided with a window which is transparent to light and extends across the width of the path followed by the film. A light source is arranged in the container behind the window. The film travels by the window with the emulsion facing the latter and is subjected to an additional exposure as it traverses the window.

  • Patent number: 4708453
Abstract: An arrangement for the wet processing of photographic materials includes a container for a processing bath. A rack for transporting the materials through the bath is removably mountable in the container. The container has a longitudinally extending bottom wall as well as a pair of longitudinally extending side walls, and these walls are constituted by a one piece extrusion consisting of a synthetic resin. The extrusion is shaped to match the outline of the rack. The container further has a pair of injection molded end walls which likewise consist of a synthetic resin. The end walls are fused to the respective ends of the extrusion. The rack is divided into two sections to facilitate introduction of the rack into, and removal of the rack from, the container.

  • Patent number: 4453293
Abstract: A clamping arrangement for clamping a corona discharge wire in electrophotographic copying apparatuses has a bush member with an inner surface provided with a plurality of teeth, a clamping member located inside the bush and having an outer surface provided with a plurality of teeth, so that one end portion of the corona discharge wire can be clamped between the teeth of the bush and the clamping member, a sliding member displaceable in a longitudinal direction of the corona discharge wire so as to support at least the clamping member therein, and a spring member engaging the sliding member and acting in a direction which is opposite to the pulling direction of the corona discharge wire.

  • Patent number: 4214733
Abstract: A device for tensioning the corona-discharge wires of e.g. electrostatic copiers has an internally toothed sleeve member in which an externally toothed clamping member is turnably received. Both members have openings transverse to the longitudinal axis of the sleeve member. When an end portion of a corona wire whose other end is fixedly secured, is inserted through both openings in aligned condition of the same, turning of the clamping member draws the end portion between the members, tensioning the wire and clamping the end portion between the teeth of the members.

  • Patent number: 4203386
Abstract: An electrostatic copier has a rotatable copy drum and a developing unit which can be inserted and removed from the copier in toto. The developing unit is provided with bearing members which at least partly and loosely embrace the shaft of the copy drum.

  • Patent number: 4154527
Abstract: An optical copier has a transparent exposure plate which supports a portion of an original document to be copied and exposes the latter to light rays during the copying operation. The transparent plate extends across an opening of a frame, being inwardly offset with respect to a support surface of the frame. A lid is mounted on the frame for pivoting between a closed position in which the lid covers the transparent plate, and fully open position. A marginal portion of the frame holds the lid in its fully open position so that the lid serves to support another portion of the original document. A hinge which mounts the lid on the frame may include a connecting link and two pivots which respectively connect the link to the lid and to the frame. The hinge may be mounted either on the lid or on the frame for an easy detachment therefrom, for instance, by resiliently yieldable bearing blocks which engage with snap action behind an edge portion which surrounds an orifice.

  • Patent number: 4071296
Abstract: A cleaning device for an electrostatic copier of the type having an endless travelling charge carrier provided with a photosensitive surface which is electrostatically chargeable to form a latent image to which toner particles are attracted for subsequent transfer to an image carrier. The cleaning arrangement removes residual toner particles from the surface prior to the next electrostatic charging thereof and is in form of a cleaning cartridge that can be inserted into and removed from the copier in toto. The cartridge has a leading open end and instrumentalities at this end which engage the photosensitive surface of the charge carrier when the cartridge is inserted into the copier. Elastically deformable sealing elements are provided on the cartridge and at least in part bound the open end thereof, yieldingly engaging the photosensitive surface in response to the insertion of the cartridge into the copier.
