  • Patent number: 11805105
Abstract: Systems and methods for ensuring data privacy in a data sharing system are provided. A computer implemented method carried out at a host computing system includes: accessing a set of data from a data source including a true element and at least one spurious element so that the host computing system cannot differentiate between the elements to obfuscate the true element from the host computing system. The method includes: accessing a code which is executable on the set of data so as to output multiple results for the elements of the set of data; processing the set of data, including for each element: executing the code on the element to generate a result; computing a hash value of the element; and outputting the result in association with the hash value to a third-party computing system. A third-party computing system has access to the true hash value of the true element for identification of the result generated by execution of the code on the true element.

  • Publication number: 20180359715
Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. A wireless node may determine a pattern for transmitting multiple synchronization communications in one or more synchronization communication sets. The wireless node may deteimine a set of resources, in the one or more synchronization communication sets, to be used to transmit the multiple synchronization communications based at least in part on the pattern. The wireless node may transmit the multiple synchronization communications using the set of resources. A first synchronization communication, of the multiple synchronization communications, may be frequency division multiplexed with a second synchronization communication. Numerous other aspects are provided.

  • Patent number: 9481238
Abstract: A crash-tolerant system arrangement in an engine compartment situated in the front end region of a motor vehicle includes an exhaust emission control system having an essentially cylindrical first catalytic converter housing situated in front of the exhaust gas turbocharger in the travel direction. The exhaust gas turbocharger is mechanically connected to an exhaust gas manifold via a first fastening device, and to an engine block via a second fastening device, the first and the second fastening devices being designed in such a way that a detachment of the connection of the exhaust gas turbocharger to the exhaust gas manifold and/or a detachment of the connection of the exhaust gas turbocharger to the engine block take(s) place within a predefined upper value range for the pressure force.

  • Publication number: 20060279047
Abstract: The invention relates to a flange arrangement (2, 14, 25) of an engine cylinder head (22) and to a process for producing it. To simplify them as much as possible without losing the functionality of the flange arrangement (2, 14, 25), it is proposed that the flange arrangement (2, 14, 25) have at least two single-piece individual flanges (1a-d, 13a-c, 26), which bear against one another with in each case at least one peripheral region (8a-d, 15, 20, 28, 29) overlapping, in such a manner that in the overlapping area their securing bores (3, 16, 27) for attaching them to the cylinder head (22) are aligned.

  • Patent number: 6604358
Abstract: In an exhaust manifold to be mounted on a cylinder head of an internal combustion engine which cylinder head includes a plurality of exhaust passages, the exhaust manifold includes a gas collector housing with a mounting flange, a gas conducting duct arranged in spaced relationship within the gas collector housing and having a mounting collar, and a hold-down element mounted together with the flange onto the cylinder head and including a recess receiving the collar of the gas conducting duct for retaining the gas conducting duct in engagement with the cylinder head but permitting relative movement thereto.

  • Patent number: 5950692
Abstract: In an arrangement for limiting the fill level in a fuel tank having a filler neck with a tank inlet end, a valve flap is pivotally supported in the inlet end such that, in an open position, the valve flap is pivoted toward the fuel flow entering the tank during refueling and is connected, by way of a crank arm and a coupling rod to a float which is disposed in an essentially vertical guide tube. The coupling rod extends through the float and has spaced top and bottom stops providing for lost motion coupling between the float and the coupling rod whose weight is sufficient to keep the valve flap in an open position. When the fuel in the tank lifts the float and, after the float engages the top stop, lifts the coupling rod, closing movement of the valve flap is initiated which is then fully closed by the inflowing fuel utilizing the lost motion distance between the float and the bottom stop of the coupling rod.

  • Patent number: 5197440
Abstract: A constructionally simpler and more reliable pressure-controlled valve device operates with opening pressure which can be switched to low pressure and high pressure on the cooling fluid circuit of an internal combustion engine, partricularly for a motor vehicle. The valve device can be subjected to gas or liquid from inside the cooling fluid container, depending on the operating condition of the engine, and a higher or lower opening pressure is effective depending on the type of pressure load. In such a device, two valves are functionally arranged within one unit such that they are located in parallel and open separately from one another for the different pressure ranges. For this purpose, the closing bodies of the low-pressure valve and of the high-pressure valve are located tightly one upon the other when the high-pressure valve is not open. When the high-pressure valve becomes effective, the flow outlet from the low pressure valve is shut off. It is shut off by a float raised by the cooling fluid.
