  • Publication number: 20100063708
Abstract: The invention proceeds from a diesel cycle internal combustion engine that can be operated with a fuel having a low ignition point and a fuel having a higher ignition point, with at least one fuel tank (1), with a fuel pump (7), with a high-pressure pump (11), with an injection system (12) and with an electronic controller (17) in which different control parameters for operation with the fuel having the low ignition point and for operation with the fuel having the higher ignition point are stored. According to the invention, control parameters (19, 20) for the start of injection are stored in the electronic controller (17), wherein the start of injection for the fuel having the higher ignition point is retarded relative to the start of injection for the fuel having the low ignition point exclusively in the high-load range or exclusively in the medium-load and high-load ranges.

  • Publication number: 20090235896
Abstract: A diesel cycle internal combustion engine can be operated with a variety of fuels having different boiling points and different viscosity-temperature characteristic curves, with a fuel circuit that includes a fuel tank, a fuel pump, a fuel line, at least one fuel filter, a high-pressure pump, an injection system device and a return line to return fuel to the fuel tank, where a control valve is provided in the return line for dividing or diverting the fuel flow to the fuel tank and/or to the fuel filter, and where the fuel division or diversion is undertaken as a function of the viscosity of the fuel in use such that the fuel filter will thence be heated to a temperature based on heat transfer from the fuel in use, and further where a pressure relief valve is provided between the fuel filter and the high-pressure pump.

  • Publication number: 20060069880
Abstract: The present invention provides an apparatus for controlling access, by processing devices to memories in an embedded system, with the apparatus being arranged between the processing devices and the memories, and with the apparatus independently moving data between the memories and between the memories and internal memories in the processing devices.

  • Publication number: 20050193081
Abstract: A multiprocessor system comprises a first processor (P1) and a second processor (P2) each having an input/output set up for the connection of a tightly coupled semiconductor memory. Furthermore, the multiprocessor system comprises a shared tightly coupled integrated semiconductor memory (101), which can be accessed by both processors (P1, P2) via their input/output.

  • Publication number: 20020103985
Abstract: In a digital signal processor, a file address table (FAT) file is stored in the storage memory unit of the digital signal processor rather than in the program memory of the central processing unit. When a selected file is to be processed, a summary file is generated in the stack sector of the program memory, the summary file including the FAT file entries for the selected file. By positioning the FAT files in this manner, not only are locations in the program memory made available for the storage of other files, but the performance of the digital signal processor can be enhanced.
