  • Patent number: 8307622
Abstract: A two-for-one twisting or cabling spindle apparatus (1) with a supply bobbin (4) mounted on a pot base (2) of a stationary protective pot (3) and a spindle (6) arranged below the protective pot (3) to guide a yarn (5) to be processed during a twisting or cabling process. The spindle (6) is rotatably mounted by a lower bearing device (7) in a bearing housing (9) fixed on a spindle rail (8) and an upper bearing device (11) mounted to the stationary protective pot (3). The largest diameter (d) of the rotatably mounted spindle (6) is at least 10% less than the diameter (D) of a touching line (23) of the pot base (2) of the stationary protective pot (3) with the yarn (5).

  • Patent number: 7866589
Abstract: Wind-on device for workstations of two-for-one twisters and ply twisters with a take-up bobbin, a drive shaft extending in the longitudinal direction of the machine, a friction roller which is driven by the drive shaft and causes the take-up bobbin to make a rotational movement, and a driven advance roller positioned upstream of the friction roller in the yarn run. According to the invention, in addition to the friction roller (14, 15), the advance roller (8, 9) is also driven by the drive shaft (27, 28) and in that the advance roller (8, 9) is mounted on a support element (23, 24) and can be pivoted together with the support element (23, 24) about a pivot axle selectively into an operating position or into a higher situated service position.

  • Patent number: 6848641
Abstract: An actuating valve has two relay valves connected to a compressed air source and a pneumatic cylinder with two pressure chambers. When one relay valve is actuated, one pressure chamber is pressure-loaded and the other is relieved. Two 3/2 port directional control valves are arranged upstream of the pneumatic cylinder. Two check valves are positioned in branch lines connecting the relay valves and the directional control valves. A control line connects the branch line to the other directional control valve, respectively. The directional control valves are moveable between a first position allowing compressed air to pass and a pressure relief position. When the relay valves are inactive, the directional control valves are in the first position and the relay valves are in a venting position for the branch lines. When one relay valve is actuated, it assumes a position allowing passage of air to the branch line connected to it.

  • Patent number: 5964083
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a twisted yarn by a combined spinning and twisting process includes the steps of producing in at least two spinning devices individual spun yarns and guiding the spun yarns together to a first centering location positioned coaxially to the axis of the double twisting device to subject the individual spun yarns in a first yarn feeding direction to a first twist, whereby a yarn balloon is formed. Subsequently, the spun yarns are guided to a second centering location, also positioned coaxially to the axis of the double twisting device, and through the second centering location into the interior of the yarn balloon to subject the spun yarns in a second yarn feeding direction, opposite the first yarn feeding direction, to a second twist. The spun yarns are then wound onto a rotating bobbin positioned in the interior of the yarn balloon.
