  • Publication number: 20210396508
Abstract: Disclosed is a method and a device for in situ process monitoring and control down to a single pulse measurement during laser processing, like ablation, laser printing additive manufacturing and modification of refractive index. The disclosure relates to laser material processing and to an integrated process monitoring using interference effects of a laser beam or laser pulse.

  • Patent number: 7615761
Abstract: A method for detecting trace evidence materials on a surface comprises irradiating the surface with radiation from two or more lasers emitting radiation at different wavelengths selected to stimulate luminescence in the trace materials. The evidence is detected by observing the surface through an optical filter arranged to transmit the luminescence, while blocking transmission of the laser radiation wavelengths reflected or scattered from the surface.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 28, 2008
Date of Patent: November 10, 2009
    Assignee: Coherent, Inc.
Inventors: Lukas Hunziker, Georg Herink, Arnaud Lepert
