  • Patent number: 9470373
Abstract: A lamp comprises has an optically transmissive enclosure and a base. At least one LED is located in the enclosure and is operable to emit light when energized through an electrical path from the base. A light non-transmissive portion defines a light transmissive portion where the light transmissive portion is illuminated when the at least one LED is energized. The light transmissive portion may define information such as branding information.

  • Patent number: 6290636
Abstract: The centrifuge continuously separates free flowing substances that have different densities. The centrifuge includes a rotor 14 having a cylindrical drum 16 and a conical drum 18. The rotor wall includes discharge ports 48, 48′, 48″ for a heavy phase and weirs 38 for a light phase arranged on a front end wall 36 of the cylindrical drum. The rotatable scroll conveyor 22 includes a hollow shaft 26 and a helix 24 for transporting the heavy phase toward the discharge ports. A feed pipe 28 is coaxially within the hollow shaft and opens into a chamber 32 within the hollow shaft. A plurality of nozzles each within a respective discharge port in the conical drum and a non-restrictive discharge port 60 in the end section of the conical drum discharge the heavy phase from the centrifuge. The nozzles are preferably arranged in a plurality of circumferential rings.

  • Patent number: 4339072
Abstract: A centrifuge is disclosed designed either as a solid bowl centrifuge or separator for separating solids/liquids mixtures. A centrifuge drum having an outer jacket is provided with apertures positioned in the jacket. Through the apertures at least a partial discharge of concentrated solids phase occurs thereto. A control device preferably in the form of a disk provides a surface spaced at a small interval from the apertures so as to prevent the flow of solids/liquids through the aperture except when a discontinuity such as a recess or cut-out in the surface occurs so as to allow flow through the aperture.

  • Patent number: 3955756
Abstract: A screw conveyor centrifuge of the type having a hollow cylindrical and/or conical shaped bowl or shell and a conveyor screw extending through the bowl. The bowl and the screw are both rotatable, but at different rotative velocities. A solid-liquid mixture is fed into one end of the conveyor and the solid portion thereof is transferred away from the opposite end after being separated out of the liquid as it is conveyed along the centrifugally rotating bowl by the screw. The liquid portion of the mixture is conducted away from a receiving point intermediate the ends of the conveyor by way of fluid drain structure disposed immediately adjacent the outside surface of the hub of the screw means. In several embodiments, the fluid drain structure consists of pipes extending axially from the receiving point through holes in portions of the flights of the screw to a drain chamber disposed immediately adjacent the beginning end of the conveyor screw.
