Publication number: 20060272702Abstract: The method introduces additives into flowing gas, fluid or fluidized media in a pulsed high pressure manner. The nozzle needle of at least one nozzle is variable and highly precisely moved for the introduction by means of a device and in such a way that additive is dosed exactly in relation to the volume flow of the medium. The pulsating additive stream is injected into the flowing medium by at least one well-aimed nozzle opening. The additives are dosed by means of a pressure that can be variably adjusted by pulse width and pulse frequency. The desired homogenous distribution is obtained by the penetrating injection jet.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 21, 2006Publication date: December 7, 2006Inventor: Georg Ickinger

Publication number: 20050147704Abstract: An electromotive adjustment drive includes an electric drive having a single motor with a rotor having a magnetic pole assembly, and a stator interacting with the rotor and having a magnetic pole assembly. The rotor is operatively connected to a member, such as a plasticizing screw of an injection unit, and is constructed for movement along a travel path, whereby one of the magnetic pole assemblies of the rotor and the stator is extended in relation to the other one of the magnetic pole assemblies of the rotor and the stator by a portion corresponding to the travel path. A spindle drive is positioned between the rotor and a motor housing and has a first transmitting element which is operatively connected to the rotor, and a second transmitting element which supports the first transmitting element. A plurality of switching elements is constructed for selective operation of the electric drive as a rotary drive or as injection drive.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 22, 2004Publication date: July 7, 2005Applicants: DEMAG ERGOTECH GMBH, L & T-DEMAG PLASTICS MACHINERY PRIVATE LIMITEDInventors: Georg Ickinger, Kittappa Harish, Mangalasseril Saju, Shanmugham Sivakumar, Mathrubootmam Kumar, Anand Vivek

Publication number: 20050077642Abstract: The method for introducing an additive into a flowing stream of media pulses discrete quantities of the additive into the stream at a pressure higher than the pressure of the stream and at set time periods to cause the pulses to penetrate into the stream. Use is made of a nozzle that can introduce the additive in flow and counterflow to the stream of media.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 5, 2004Publication date: April 14, 2005Inventor: Georg Ickinger

Publication number: 20050064064Abstract: A linear drive for an injection molding machine includes a housing defining a sealed interior space containing a gas volume. The housing has two housing portions constructed for telescopic movement within one another. A spindle drive is accommodated in the housing and operated by the electric motor. The spindle drive includes a spindle shaft, which is axially securely fixed to one of the housing portions, and a spindle nut, which is arranged on the spindle shaft and axially securely fixed to the other one of the housing portions. Acting on the spindle drive is an energy accumulator which is constructed for discharge in a first operating cycle which is energy-intensive and for recharging in a second operating cycle which is opposite to the first operating cycle and requires little energy.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 3, 2004Publication date: March 24, 2005Applicant: DEMAG ERGOTECH GMBHInventor: Georg Ickinger

Patent number: 5217722Abstract: A conveyor belt has edges with longitudinally extending profiles formed as grooves or elevations for sealing and guiding. An apparatus for producing belts with profiled edges uses a cutting device and profiled molds to form profiles in the belt and its edge while the belt is guided and supported by rolls. The apparatus further includes a cutter which forms a groove in the conveyor belt and which allows lateral guiding of the bolt in relation to the mold.Type: GrantFiled: August 5, 1992Date of Patent: June 8, 1993Assignee: Maschinenfabrik Andritz AktiengesellschaftInventors: Georg Ickinger, Johann Rosler, Rupert Syrowatka, Walter Bachlinger, Peter Scheucher

Patent number: 5080700Abstract: A process and apparatus for continuously purifying gases by removing entrained burdening substances therefrom, wherein the gas is loaded with entrained substances is passed substantially radially through adsorbing material arranged about an axis of rotation as an adsorber bed, the substances being retained on the adsorbing materials in the course of their rotational movement about the axis of rotation, and in the course of further rotational movement the load of retained substances is desorbed, optionally after inertization, by flushing with a fluid medium, e.g., hot gases or steam, and the adsorbing material may then be cooled and/or dried. Rotational movement is preferably done intermittently, and the feed stream to and the drain stream from the adsorbing material each are conducted through a confined space extending at least in one direction substantially parallelly to the axis of rotation or to the adsorber bed, the confined space being fed and drained axially.Type: GrantFiled: September 19, 1990Date of Patent: January 14, 1992Assignee: Maschinenfabrik Andritz ActiengesellschaftInventors: Dag Bergloff, Alfred Weinmann, Georg Ickinger, Walter Schinninger, Leopold Sidla, Karl Jirenec, Ernst Markytan

Patent number: 4955268Abstract: The apparatus comprises a work surface heated by a heat carrier medium and located upon a heat-conducting layer carried by a metallic base body. The base body is provided with grooves at its surface confronting the heat-conducting layer and/or this heat-conducting layer is provided at its surface confronting the base body with grooves. The work surface is heated by infeeding the heat carrier medium into the grooves. To influence heat transfer to the heat-conducting layer carrying the work surface, particularly to a sheet metal plating or the like, for instance a cylinder jacket seated in direct metallic contact or only through the intermediate disposition of a transition layer of good thermal conductivity, upon the base body, there are provided control means regulating heat conduction from the base body to the heat-conducting layer and/or from the heat carrier medium guided in the grooves to the base body or the heat-conducting layer.Type: GrantFiled: June 13, 1988Date of Patent: September 11, 1990Assignee: Sulzer-Escher Wyss GmbHInventors: Georg Ickinger, Willibald Fermuller, Anton Paugger, Reinhard Pinter

Patent number: 4729836Abstract: A chicane system is provided in a belt filter press in a gravity drainage zone. The gravity drainage zone includes a movable filter belt, an inlet for distributing a suspension on the filter belt and an outlet for discharging separated liquid and solid components of the suspension. A support rod is mounted over the filter belt and has a longitudinal axis generally perpendicular to the filter belt movement. A plurality of flow turners depend from the support rod and engage the filter belt to prevent clogging of the filter belt by the suspension solid component. Each flow turner includes a plow portion extending into the suspension and engaging the filter belt and a leaf spring portion fixed at one end to the support rod and at an opposite end to the plow portion. Each leaf spring portion is stressed to bias and force its plow portion against the filter belt.Type: GrantFiled: December 1, 1986Date of Patent: March 8, 1988Assignee: Arus Andritz-Ruthner, Inc.Inventors: Georg Ickinger, Siegfried Hausegger
