    Abstract: A patient operating table includes a support mattress with a plurality of pads. The plurality of pads includes a central pad located to support a midsection of a patient's body. The central pad includes an outer shell with a seam that has a hermetic seal and defines a cell therein. A support frame is integrally connected to the central pad. A central pedestal is located under the central pad and carries the support mattress on a base frame. A heating element and a hygroscopic substance is located in the cell. A conduit extends from the heating element and through the outer shell at a sealing ring that is connected to the outer shell with a hermetic seal.

    Abstract: A compute device may include circuitry configured to obtain patient state data that may be indicative of a heart rate of the patient or a respiration rate of the patient. The circuitry may also be configured to obtain patient medication data indicative of a schedule for administration of pain medication to the patient. Further, the circuitry may be configured to determine whether a trend in the patient state data satisfies a predefined condition, determine whether the patient medication data indicates that the patient is due for administration of pain medication within a predefined time period, determine, in response to a determination that the trend in the patient state data satisfies the predefined condition and a determination that the patient is due for administration of pain medication within the predefined time period, that the patient is experiencing pain, and produce an alert signal that the patient is in pain.

The system determines a mobility status based on at least the movement data received from the patient support apparatus and the one or more mobility detection devices, and adjusts a care protocol for the patient based on the mobility status.
