Abstract: The present invention relates to a pool for receiving one or more people for carrying out sports or relaxation activities, also referred to as a swimming pool, comprising at least one baseplate and a boundary wall, wherein the baseplate and the boundary wall enclose an internal volume, and the baseplate and the boundary wall are each constructed from one or more monolithic natural stones, and said monolithic natural stones are interconnected to one another, within the baseplate, the boundary wall and at the connecting surfaces between baseplate and boundary wall, in an integrally bonded and watertight manner. The invention furthermore relates to the use of such a pool as a swimming pool, and to a method for producing such a pool.
