Patent number: 11440514Abstract: A method operates a braking device for motor vehicles, in particular for utility vehicles. Along a trailer supply line for supplying air to a parking brake of a trailer and/or a trailer control line for supplying air to an operating brake of a trailer, the air pressure is measured by at least one pressure transducer and is transmitted in the form of an electric signal to an electronic control unit of the motor vehicle. In the event of a faulty pressure change response, an open trailer supply line and/or an open trailer control line is detected.Type: GrantFiled: November 15, 2018Date of Patent: September 13, 2022Assignee: KNORR-BREMSE Systeme fuer Nutzfahrzeuge GmbHInventors: Andreas Leinung, Georg Mueller, Marius Schmid

Patent number: 10579803Abstract: The invention relates to a computer-implemented system and method for management of software application issues such as software application vulnerabilities or software quality. The method may comprise the steps of receiving software vulnerability data from a plurality of vulnerability scanning systems; automatically generating a unique vulnerability ID for a vulnerability using a plurality attributes of the vulnerability; comparing a current load of vulnerability data with a previous load of vulnerability data and generating a table of deltas; grouping vulnerabilities into a group that can be managed and remediated on a group basis as a unit of work rather than individually; and automatically generating entries in the developer task tracking system for each vulnerability group or individual vulnerabilities for resolution.Type: GrantFiled: November 17, 2017Date of Patent: March 3, 2020Assignee: JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A.Inventors: Georg Mueller, Marianne Thomas

Patent number: 10345345Abstract: A fiber-optic current sensor uses a highly-birefringent spun fiber as sensing fiber. The light is fed through a retarder, which is a detuned quarter-wave or half-wave retarder. It is shown that such detuning can be used to compensate for temperature dependencies of the sensing head.Type: GrantFiled: September 24, 2015Date of Patent: July 9, 2019Assignee: ABB Research Ltd.Inventors: Georg Mueller, Xun Gu, Klaus Bohnert, Andreas Frank

Patent number: 9581622Abstract: In a fiber-optic current sensor, a 22.5° Faraday rotator, which is part of the sensing fiber coil, determines the working point of the sensor. The coil is operated with substantially linearly polarized light or incoherent substantially left and right circularly polarized light waves. In one arrangement, a polarization beam splitter generates two optical signals that vary in anti-phase with changing current. A signal processor determines the current from the two anti-phase signals. Appropriately detuned and oriented fiber-optic half-wave or quarter-wave retarders before the fiber coil are used to reduce or cancel the adverse effects of temperature and bend-induced birefringence on the measurement signal. Moreover, the temperature may be derived from the difference in the bias of the anti-phase signals and may be used to cancel temperature effects in the signal processor.Type: GrantFiled: January 5, 2015Date of Patent: February 28, 2017Assignee: ABB Research Ltd.Inventors: Georg Mueller, Andreas Frank, Klaus Bohnert, Xun Gu

Publication number: 20070276623Abstract: A test system can be used for testing semiconductor components, with which several different semiconductor component tests can be performed in succession. A test apparatus receives a test result for a first test and a test result for a second test and evaluates whether the test results from the first and second tests are mutually correlated by evaluating whether the test results comprises a pattern determined during a training phase of the system. The test apparatus then determines whether or not the pattern indicates that a further test is to be dispensed with.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 7, 2007Publication date: November 29, 2007Inventors: Michael Kund, Georg Mueller

Publication number: 20060151919Abstract: The invention relates to a method for creating a pre-weakened zone in a textile surface structure, in particular a fabric. According to the method, part of the textile material is removed by laser treatment in order to create a predetermined breaking point, for example to allow exit of an airbag. To achieve this, a line of interspaced performations along the pre-weakened zone preferably deviates from the respective distance between the threads. The invention also relates to a method for producing a trim element for a vehicle, in addition to textile surface structures and trim elements that are produced according to the inventive method.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 11, 2003Publication date: July 13, 2006Applicant: Johnson Controls Interiors GmbH & Co. KGInventors: Dieter Renner, Georg Mueller

Publication number: 20030220858Abstract: Method and system of exchanging business documents between a set of entities. The set of entities include a plurality of buyers and sellers. Identification information is received from respective entities. The identification information includes at least the names of respected entities from which the identification information is received. The information received from the entities is stored in records in a first storage resource. The records include information to facilitate the sending documents to the entities. Based on similarity between information in respective records, approximate correspondence is determined between records (a) the first storage resource and (b) a second storage resource.
