  • Publication number: 20230210679
Abstract: Medical devices and methods for placing a bifurcated stent into a bifurcating blood vessel are described herein. Also, described herein are methods for treating aorto-iliac occlusive disease. The bifurcated stent can be mounted onto a catheter comprising at least two balloons by mounting a first branch stent of the bifurcated stent onto a first balloon and a second branch stent of the bifurcated stent onto a second balloon, and a main body of the bifurcated stent onto the first balloon and second balloon.

  • Publication number: 20230190501
Abstract: Balloon catheters for treating a diseased bifurcated blood vessel that includes a catheter hub, a proximal balloon hub, a distal balloon hub, a catheter tip, a catheter shaft comprising a proximal shaft and a distal shaft, and a bifurcated balloon assembly with a first balloon and second balloon that are substantially parallel. A proximal end of the proximal shaft is connected to the catheter hub and a distal end of the proximal shaft is connected to the proximal balloon hub. A proximal end of the distal shaft is connected to the distal balloon hub and a distal end of the distal shaft is connected the catheter tip. A proximal end of the first balloon is connected to the proximal balloon hub, a distal end of the first balloon is connected to the distal balloon hub, and a distal end of the second balloon is connected to the distal balloon hub.

  • Publication number: 20230144448
Abstract: Described herein are systems and methods for the treatment of branching blood vessels. The system can be introduced percutaneously or by surgical cutdown into a patient's arterial system. The bifurcation from the aorta to the iliac arteries (aortic bifurcation) is used as an example of a branching blood vessel which can be treated with the systems described herein. Also, described herein are methods for assembling the medical devices.

  • Patent number: 9981300
Abstract: The present invention relates to a column frame (20) for tools of stamping and forming technology, consisting of a head plate (1) and a base plate (2) between which guide columns (3) for guiding a guide plate (4) are arranged, and the guide columns (3) defining a movement direction Z for the guide plate (4), characterized in that the guide plate (4) is mounted elastically on the guide columns (3) on guide plate-side guide units (5) in such a way that the guide plate (4) can wobble about an axis parallel to the Z direction.

  • Publication number: 20040230156
Abstract: A method for treating vulnerable plaque by crosslinking the fibrous cap, or collagenous extra cellular matrix layer, on the inner wall or vascular intima of the vessel. The method includes providing a vascular catheter, delivering a crosslinking agent to the extra cellular matrix layer with the vascular catheter, and irradiating the extra cellular matrix layer and crosslinking agent with light energy emitted from the vascular catheter. The crosslinking agent may be a saccharide, Riboflavin or Riboflavin-5-phosphate, or a photooxidizer. The irradiation energy is emitted from one or more LEDs mounted on the catheter. Catheter balloons are used to clear the optical path of blood so that short wavelength light can be used. The balloons may also be used to facilitate delivery of the crosslinking agent to the extra cellular matrix layer. A perfusion lumen ensures continuous blood flow during the procedure.
