  • Publication number: 20190111527
Abstract: Various embodiments may include a fuel rail assembly comprising: a fuel rail; a second component; and a brazed joint securing the fuel rail and the second component together. The brazed joint may include a brazing filler material distributed between a first joining area formed by a surface portion of the fuel rail and second joining area formed by a surface portion of the second component. At least one of the joining areas comprises an elongated slot adapted to contain the brazing filler material.

  • Publication number: 20170248108
Abstract: A fuel rail assembly is disclosed. The fuel rail assembly includes an elongated tubular fuel rail and a plurality of fuel delivery lines for hydraulically coupling the fuel rail to fuel injectors. Each fuel delivery line has an injector cup, a pipe being arranged between the fuel rail and the injector cup, and a fixation bracket. A rigid connection is established between the fixation bracket and a portion of the pipe, the portion being spaced apart from each of the fuel rail and from the injector cup. The injector cup, the pipe, and the fixation bracket are individual parts. The fixation bracket is spaced apart from the injector cup and from the fuel rail.

  • Publication number: 20090095257
Abstract: A fuel injection system has a high-pressure fuel reservoir with at least one fuel feed and at least one fuel discharge, wherein the fuel feed interacts with a high-pressure fuel pump and the fuel discharge interacts with a fuel injection valve. Arranged in the fuel discharge and/or fuel feed of the high-pressure fuel reservoir is a gap filter which is configured geometrically in such a way that it achieves a predetermined throttle effect. The use of the gap filter in the fuel discharge and/or in the fuel feed prevents dirt particles from being able to get into the injector and cause malfunctions there. Furthermore, pressure vibrations which are induced in the system as a result of the injection process or as a result of the high-pressure fuel pump are damped by the throttle effect of the gap filter.

  • Patent number: 7213577
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing a fuel accumulator line and a fuel accumulator line comprising prestressed connection pieces. The connection pieces are mounted onto the fuel accumulator line with a prestress, by crimping, or by a temporal expansion and/or a temporal contraction of the fuel accumulator line. The connection pieces connect a line to the fuel accumulator line. The prestressing of the connection pieces allows pressure to be exerted on the fuel accumulator line, thus increasing the compressive strength.

  • Publication number: 20060053626
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing a high pressure fuel accumulator (1) for a fuel injection system of an internal combustion engine, comprising a tubular base body (2), at least one connection for the fuel supply (3) and at least one connection for the fuel discharge, and at least one fixing element, said tubular base body (2) being embodied as a single component with the connections (3, 4) and the fixing element. The hollow profile of the tubular base body is extruded with the connector strips (5, 6) and the fixing strips (7).
