No or negligible pressures are applied to the stoma which remains clear and healthy. The user may use the receptacle during times of physical or personal activity when additional discreteness is desired. The pouch may be made of a material having a thermochromatic ink which changes color with heat such that the user may visually inspect and identify when waste is present in the pouch.
