    Abstract: Methods and devices for plugging a hole bone are disclosed. The bone plug device may include a polymeric mesh structure and a first and a second solid polymeric structure mounted or formed onto a first and a second corresponding leaflet of the polymeric mesh structure. When inserted into a hole in cortical bone, the polymeric mesh structure moves from an open configuration to a closed configuration, reducing the diameter of the polymeric mesh structure and causing the first solid polymeric structure to contact the second solid polymeric structure, conforming bone plug device to the hole. The polymeric mesh structure is configured to mimic cancellous bone structure and porosity to encourage cancellous bone ingrowth.

    Abstract: Vacuum-integrated photoresist-less methods and apparatuses for forming metal hardmasks can provide sub-30 nm patterning resolution. A metal-containing (e.g., metal salt or organometallic compound) film that is sensitive to a patterning agent is deposited on a semiconductor substrate. The metal-containing film is then patterned directly (i.e., without the use of a photoresist) by exposure to the patterning agent in a vacuum ambient to form the metal mask. For example, the metal-containing film is photosensitive and the patterning is conducted using sub-30 nm wavelength optical lithography, such as EUV lithography.

The method includes connecting a vacuum source to the first port, connecting a suction powered device to the third port, and oscillating the valve between maintaining a closed configuration for a predetermined time period and maintaining an open configuration for a second predetermined time period.     Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods for determining suitability of biology-guided radiotherapy (BgRT). These methods may include converting diagnostic positron emission tomography (PET) imaging data to simulated imaging data consistent with images obtained using PET detectors of a BgRT radiotherapy system. The simulated imaging data may be used to evaluate the suitability of BgRT by evaluating a first metric indicating a contrast noise ratio for a tumor, a second metric indicating a PET tracer activity concentration, and a third metric indicating a radiation dose to the tumor. Also disclosed herein are methods for generating synthetic or simulated list mode LOR data from one or more PET images. The synthetic or simulated list mode data may be used for testing BgRT algorithms and/or determining whether BgRT is suitable for a patient.

The multiple probe beams or multiple pump beams are modulated with orthogonal waveforms, which allow the measurement of the different locations without interference from one another. The received signals are demodulated based on the orthogonal waveforms to recover the contributions to the received signals associated with each of the multiple probe beams or each of the multiple pump beams.

    Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems and methods for rapidly delivering high doses of radiation, also known as, flash dose radiotherapy or flash radiotherapy. One variation of a system for flash radiotherapy has a plurality of therapeutic radiation sources on a support structure (e.g., a gantry or arm) and configured to toward a patient target region, and a controller in communication with all of the therapeutic radiation sources. The controller is configured to activate the plurality of therapeutic radiation sources simultaneously so that the patient target region rapidly receives a high dose of radiation, e.g. the entire prescribed dose of radiation. In some variations, a flash radiotherapy system has a pulsed, high-power source that may be used to generate an X-ray pulse that delivers a dose having a dose rate from about 7.5 Gy/s to about 70 Gy/s. Flash radiotherapy systems may also include one or more imaging systems mounted on the support structure.

A processor is used and configured to generate a feedback based on a measured charging/discharging associated with the capacitor as a user moves with respect to the container. In one nonlimiting example, the processor is configured to generate a rolling average of the charging/discharging. An output device of the system may be configured to render feedback to the user based on the proximity of the user with respect to the container. In some nonlimiting examples, the output device is configured to render the feedback based on the rolling average.
