  • Patent number: 10677547
Abstract: A pump action firearm with bolt slide locking mechanism includes a receiver, a barrel assembly coupled by the receiver, and a bolt slide slideably disposed in the receiver for movement between rearward open breech and forward closed breech positions. A slide lock pivotably mounted to the bolt slide about a pivot axis is selectively engageable with an interference surface on the receiver. When the firearm is fired via a trigger pull, a rotatable hammer strikes and actuates the slide lock. The slide lock rotates from a locked position engaged with the interference surface to prevent the slide from moving out of the closed breech position, to an unlocked position disengaging the interference surface. This allows the slide to be manually moved to the open breech position for cycling the action. A manual actuator is provided for unlocking the slide lock absent a trigger pull.

  • Publication number: 20170143556
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods and apparatuses for rejecting defective absorbent articles from a converting line. At a downstream portion of a converting process, a continuous length of absorbent articles may be subjected to a final knife and cut to create discrete absorbent articles advancing on a first carrier. From the first carrier, the discrete absorbent articles may be transferred to a transfer apparatus, which in turn, transfers the discrete absorbent articles to a second carrier. The transfer apparatus may include carrier members that orbit around an axis of rotation and may be adapted to receive the absorbent articles from the first carrier and transfer the absorbent articles to the second carrier. Defective absorbent articles may be detected by an inspection system, which may be operably connected with the transfer apparatus and/or the first carrier to remove the defective absorbent articles from the converting process.

  • Publication number: 20140052516
Abstract: In some embodiments, for resellers of goods, multiple referral rates can be combined to yield a greater total referral rate. For example, the manufacturer can offer one referral rate and the reseller can offer a second referral rate. The central depository combines the two referral rates to have a greater total referral rate, which is paid to the referring user. The central depository also displays the combined referral rate in a list for the referring user. Upon activation, the central depository collects payment from all parties offering a referral rate in this example the manufacture and the reseller. The central depository can collect payment separately for each party (the manufacture and the reseller). In an alternative embodiment, the central depository collects payment from one party for both referral rates. In this embodiment the party who pays the combine referral rate collects payment from the other party.

  • Publication number: 20140052514
Abstract: In some embodiments, a crawl program or other automated program, which acquires links to various merchants from the merchant's webpage automatically, converts hyperlinks to those web pages into referral links to those web pages routed through the central depository opposed directly to the merchant. In an alternative, embodiment automated programs convert merchant web pages into referral links directly to the merchant. In this way the referred user can keep track of the discounts.

  • Publication number: 20140052515
Abstract: In some embodiments, the process involves performing similar functions articulated by the referral and discount process contained in U.S. patent application Ser. Nos. 13/551,983, 13/552,011, and 13/552,031 only without the user creating an account. Rather, the central depository stores the discounts with the internet protocol address, (hereinafter “i.p. address” or “ip address”) of the referred user and transfers the referred user to the merchant with an i.p. address opposed to a referred user identity. In an additional embodiment, the merchant stores the discount with the i.p. address of the referred user without storing the discount with a referred user account that the referred user creates.

  • Patent number: 8601273
Abstract: A measurement engine performs active platform observation. A program includes an integrity manifest to indicate an integrity check value for a section of the program's source code. The measurement engine computes a comparison value on the program's image in memory and determines if the comparison value matches the expected integrity check value. If the values do not match, the program's image is determined to be modified, and appropriate remedial action can be triggered. The integrity manifest can include a secure signature to verify the validity of the integrity manifest.

  • Publication number: 20130173365
Abstract: A computer-implemented method is performed at a computer of a central depository of information related to referrals. A merchant account is created for each of multiple merchants. A list of one or more items available for referral is displayed, wherein each item is a product offered by one of the merchants or associated with one of the merchants. A first message is received from a referring party, which may be a referring user or a referring site, indicating that the referring party desires to refer a selected item from the list. A referring party account is created for the referring party. A referral hyperlink is created. The hyperlink is configured to route a referred user, upon activation of the hyperlink, to the central depository. The referral hyperlink includes first data identifying the selected item.

  • Publication number: 20130173367
Abstract: A first referral hyperlink, corresponding to a referral of a product offered by or associated with a merchant, is received from a first party. The first referral hyperlink is parsed into data elements including a referring user identifier, and at least one of a merchant identifier and a central depository identifier. Format instructions are received from the merchant or a central depository of referral information, specifying a predetermined hyperlink format for embedding data related to the referring site within a hyperlink. An identifier is created, which is configured to identify the referring site, a payment depository for processing fees payable to the referring site, a posting fee rate, or a discount made available by the referring site. In accordance with the format instructions, a second referral hyperlink is generated, having embedded therein the identifier and at least one of the parsed data elements.
