  • Patent number: 11899452
Abstract: Various technologies described herein pertain to routing an autonomous vehicle based upon risk of takeover of the autonomous vehicle by a human operator. A computing system receives an origin location and a destination location of the autonomous vehicle. The computing system identifies a route for the autonomous vehicle to follow from the origin location to the destination location based upon output of a computer-implemented model. The computer-implemented model is generated based upon labeled data indicative of instances in which autonomous vehicles are observed to transition from operating autonomously to operating based upon conduction by human operators while the autonomous vehicles are executing predefined maneuvers. The computer-implemented model takes, as input, an indication of a maneuver in the predefined maneuvers that is performed by the autonomous vehicle when the autonomous vehicle follows a candidate route.

  • Patent number: 10812528
Abstract: Anti-Phishing protection assists in protecting against phishing attacks. Any links that are contained within a message that has been identified as a phishing message are disabled. A warning message is shown when the phishing message is accessed. The first time a disabled link within the phishing message is selected a dismissible dialog box is displayed containing information about how to enable links in the message. After the user dismisses the dialog, clicking on a disabled link causes the warning message to flash drawing the user's attention to the potential severity of the problem. The links may be enabled by the user by selecting the warning message and choosing the appropriate option. Once the user enables the links, future displays of the message show the links as enabled.

  • Patent number: 10534969
Abstract: The present disclosure describes systems and methods for imaging an iris for biometric recognition. An image sensor may be located a distance L from an iris, to acquire an image of the iris. The image may have a contrast amplitude comprising modulation of a signal level at the image sensor due to features of the iris being acquired, and a standard deviation of said signal level due to noise generated within the image sensor. An illumination source may provide infrared illumination during acquisition of the image. When L is set at a value of at least 30 centimeters, the illumination source can provide the infrared illumination to the iris at a first irradiance value, quantified in watts per centimeter-squared, such that the contrast amplitude is at a value above that of the standard deviation, and enables the acquired image to be used for biometric recognition.

  • Publication number: 20190345779
Abstract: Described are various embodiments of a coiled tubing bottom hole assembly system adapted for insertion into a borehole and determining parameters of interest within the borehole. The bottom hole assembly comprises a pressure sensor array for providing differential pressure measurements across the milling assembly, at least one accelerometer for providing acceleration measurements near the bottom hole assembly indicative of at least one of vibration, bit condition, rotational speed and translational parameters and a sensor assembly for providing a measurement of weight-on-bit and applied torque. A data processor adapted to receive inputs from the pressure sensor array, the at least one accelerometer and the sensor assembly.

  • Patent number: 10372982
Abstract: The methods and apparatus for repetitive iris recognition include an apparatus for repetitively imaging an iris. The apparatus comprises a housing defining a substantially planar outer surface, a first axis normal to the substantially planar outer surface, and a curved outer surface, opposite the substantially planar outer surface, defined by a curve rotated about the first axis. The apparatus further comprises an infrared sensor array, disposed within the housing, to acquire an infrared image of an iris via at least one first aperture in the substantially planar outer surface. The apparatus further comprises at least one infrared illuminator, disposed within the housing, to illuminate the iris during acquisition of the infrared image of the iris via at least one second aperture in the substantially planar outer surface.

  • Patent number: 10296791
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed towards a compact, mobile apparatus for iris image acquisition, adapted to address effects of ocular dominance in the subject and to guide positioning of the subject's iris for the image acquisition. The apparatus may include a sensor for acquiring an iris image from a subject. A compact mirror may be oriented relative to a dominant eye of the subject, and sized to present an image of a single iris to the subject when the apparatus is positioned at a suitable distance for image acquisition. The mirror may assist the subject in positioning the iris for iris image acquisition. The mirror may be positioned between the sensor and the iris during iris image acquisition, and transmit a portion of light reflected off the iris to the sensor.
