Abstract: In aspects, the disclosure provides a method of differentiating a malignant tumor from a non-malignant tumor in a mammal having a tumor comprising determining in a sample from the mammal the level of one or more of: (1) transthyretin (TTR) RNA or protein, (2) dual oxidase 2 (DUOX2) RNA or protein, and (3) G-protein coupled receptor 179 (GPR179) RNA or protein.

Abstract: A dual reciprocating blade landscape saw is operably connected to a rotatable shaft of an input device. The landscape saw includes a worm assembly having a lower housing and a worm disposed therein, the worm operably connected to the rotatable shaft of the input device and having a spiral thread, a worm gear assembly having an upper housing and a worm gear disposed therein, the worm gear having a disk comprising a cutout and a plurality of outer teeth engaged with the spiral thread of the worm, and a pair of blades coupled to opposing sides of the worm gear. The rotatable shaft of the input device drives the worm of the worm assembly. Rotational motion of the worm transfers to the worm gear to permit the pair of blades coupled thereon to move linearly in a reciprocating sequence.

Abstract: Methods of licensing state-of-the-art technology, such as an optical analysis system and components thereof, include assessing a technology requirement of a customer, such as a pharmaceutical, food or chemical industry customer; pricing the optical analysis system to meet the technology requirement; testing the optical analysis system to meet the technology requirement; licensing the optical analysis system based on the pricing thereof for a predetermined period of time; and maintaining the optical analysis system for the predetermined period of time.

Abstract: A gun drill for forming a hole in a metal workpiece consisting of a generally cylindrical body having a shank portion and a tip portion. The body has a longitudinally extending groove formed in its outer surface which extends the full length of the tip portion, and the terminal end of the tip portion has a single cutting edge which extends radially through the axis of the tip portion adjacent the terminal end of the groove. The tip portion is formed intermediate its ends with a wall section located to one side of the groove and in substantial alignment with the cutting edge in a direction longitudinally of the body. A pair of fluid passages are formed in the body, one terminating at the wall section in an orifice directed toward the cutting edge, and the other terminating in an orifice located in the terminal end of the tip portion in a spaced relation with the cutting edge.
