Abstract: A method for installing a paver system includes positioning a first grid substrate adjacent to a second grid substrate. The first grid substrate and the second grid substrate are flexibly bridged with a first paver piece. A first portion of the first paver piece is movably coupled with the first grid substrate at a first joint, and a second portion of the first paver piece is movably coupled with the second grid substrate at a second joint, the first and second grid substrates and the first paver piece forming an articulated paver linkage. A second paver piece is coupled with the second grid substrate. A third paver piece is coupled with the first grid substrate. The articulated paver linkage is fit within the specified area by movement of at least one of the first, second and third paver pieces and the first and second grid substrates. The movement is transmitted along the articulated paver linkage to maintain a specified alignment and spacing of the first, second and third paver pieces.

Abstract: The invention relates to an automated method of assembling or processing components using computer numerical controlled drives to decouple the stages of delivering components to a tool, into a series of separately programmable stages, namely, a component loading stage, a component separating stage, an accelerating stage and a delivery stage, wherein the timing, position, speed, velocity, and acceleration of each component during each stage is selected through programming of the computer numerical controls.

Abstract: A bladeless fan assembly for creating an air current includes a nozzle mounted on a base housing a device for creating an air flow. The nozzle includes an interior passage for receiving the air flow and a mouth for emitting the air flow. The nozzle defines, and extends about, an opening through which air from outside the fan assembly is drawn by the air flow emitted from the mouth. The nozzle also includes a heater for heating the air flow upstream of the mouth.

Abstract: An adjuvant composition that contains, based on 100 parts by weight of the adjuvant composition (a) one or more betaine surfactant compounds, and (b) one or more surfactant compounds selected from, alkyl ether sulfates, sulfonates, sulfosuccinates, alkyl ether carboxylates, alkoxylated fatty acids, and alkoxylated alcohols is useful as a component of pesticide compositions.

Abstract: Novel devices, systems, and methods for providing exterior flooring that can be installed over existing exterior surfaces, such as surfaces of an outdoor deck, are provided herein. In some aspects, a joint device or joint member for an exterior floor covering can include a body portion and at least one tongue portion extending from the body portion. The joint device can be adapted to connect adjacent floor panels and secure the floor panels to an underlying surface. The joint device can, but is not required to pass liquid therebetween. The joint device and adjacent floor panels can be made of water resistant materials. The joint device can further include an optional opening adapted to receive an attachment member for attaching portions of the joint member to an underlying surface.

Abstract: Methods of manufacturing surface elements, such as floor panels, having a wear layer containing hard particles are disclosed, as well as the resulting surface elements. In the manufacturing method, the wear layer is partially manufactured, or may even be purchased as a stock item, before the décor is applied onto the wear layer. Preferably, the décor is applied to the wear layer at a position opposite the intended outer surface of the surface element. Preferably, the décor is printed onto the wear layer on the side of the wear layer intended to be affixed to a supporting core.

Abstract: Methods and compositions are provided for forming ester based compositions. The ester based compositions may be used in consumer products. In one aspect, a method is provided for producing acyl alkylisethionate esters by the esterification of a sulfonate composition having two or more sulfonate isomers with fatty acid(s). In another aspect, a method is provided for forming an ester based composition including a blend of acyl alkylisethionate and acylisethionate esters.

Abstract: The present subject matter relates to systems and methods for covering a gap between two floor elements having different flooring heights. A multi-purpose reducer for this purpose can include a foot configured to fit in a gap between adjacent floor elements, a first arm extending in a first direction from the foot, and a second arm extending in a second direction substantially perpendicularly from the foot. The first arm can define a first thickness, and the second arm defining a second thickness less than the first thickness. In addition, the first arm can include a lower surface that can be angled with respect to a plane perpendicular to the foot.

Abstract: A surface active agent comprising an arylated methyl ester of a fatty acid, or mixture of fatty acids, derived from biodiesel or a triglyceride source is disclosed. The fatty acid mixture is condensed to methyl esters and alkylated with aromatic substituents under Friedel-Crafts conditions. The alkylated methyl esters may be alkoxylated using a catalyst derived from fatty acids, alkaline earth salts, and strong acids. The resulting nonionic surfactant may also be sulfonated to produce one class of anionic surfactants. The alkylated methyl esters may also be directly sulfonated to produce another class of anionic surfactants.

Abstract: A dental X-ray positioning device includes a bite block for gripping receptor. The bit block may be adjusted to accept receptors of various dimensions. The bite block provides the clinician with greater freedom to accurately position the receptor relative to the X-ray source without having to utilize many different devices. The system thereby improves efficiency during X-ray exams and it also guarantees parallel placement of the receptor relative to the X-ray source and to the dentition being examined. The system also incorporates two soft “jaws” that during use prevent the receptor from drooping or failing to remain in parallel position relative to the bite block, the X-ray source, and/or the dentition.

A paver decking surface is seated over the plurality of structural decking panels to form a paver decking surface. Seating includes positioning a plurality of paver pieces on the structural decking panels including interfittingly engaging the paver pieces to the non-planar contoured decking panel surface. Seating further includes aligning the plurality of paver pieces in at least one specified direction, wherein the paver pieces includes paver contour surfaces along a lower surface having a corresponding shape to the non-planar contoured decking panel surface. Interfitting engagement of the paver contour surfaces with the non-planar contoured panel surface orients the one or more paver pieces in the at least one specified direction.

The display assembly may include a screen and at least one electromagnetic energy emitter configured to direct energy at an inside surface of the screen. At least one sensor is configured to sense the emitted energy after it is reflected from the inside surface of the screen and generate electrical signals corresponding the sensed reflected energy. Optionally, a liquid setting material is poured on the custom brick film tray and the plurality of bricks to form a brick façade wall. Abstract: The invention is a joint cover assembly for covering a gap adjacent an edge of a panel that covers a sub-surface, and a method of covering such a gap. The assembly can be manipulated to form an end molding, a T-molding, a hard surface reducer, a carpet reducer, and/or a stair nose molding.
