  • Publication number: 20140287369
Abstract: Two UV tubes are contained in one ultraviolet sensor to monitor one burner flame. Each UV tube is powered during a different time cycle to eliminate interference between the two UV tubes. This is made possible by two rectifier circuits being powered by two transformers that are 180° out of phase with each other. Self check is accomplished by the redundancy of two amplifiers providing output to two flame relays so that if one UV tube was to fail in the conducting mode, the combustion safeguard control will continue to safely monitor the flame by powering the fuel valve when the flame is present and removing power to the fuel valve when the flame goes out.

  • Patent number: 5143219
Abstract: A stackable container includes a continuous sidewall interconnecting a lip means and the bottom along with a lid for engaging the lip and for covering an open end of the stackable container. An elastic seal is provided between the lid and the lip when the lip is engaged by the lid and an interior shelf limits pressure applied to the plastic seal during stacking of the containers to prevent setting thereof.

  • Patent number: 5011222
Abstract: An anatomically conforming cycle saddle having a compound surface including an elongated horn section transitioning rearwardly into a laterally flared, raised cantle. A perineum/genital groove is symmetrically disposed along the longitudinal axis of the generally horizontally upper horn surface as seen in plan view. The cantle, having an angle of inclination in the range of 35.degree.-55.degree., preferably 45.degree., includes a pair of opposed, bilaterally symmetrical, inclined dished surfaces, and has a generally triangular, bilaterally symmetrical, raised, inclined coccyx support member disposed centrally and rearwardly therebetween. The concavity of the dished surfaces begin in the forward-most horizontal part of the cantle and extend deeply in the central portion of the cantle, inclining to vertical at the rearward cantle lip. The upper surface of the coccyx support member is inclined at an angle of about 30.degree.

  • Patent number: 4387828
Abstract: A plastic container with a detachably connectable lid having the diameter and circumferential features of a conventional metal paint can is disclosed. The top section of the container includes a projection defining the top end of the wall of the middle section, a neck and an annular bead for engaging the lid. The lid includes an outer flexible leg that snaps over the neck and bead of the top section. The lid can be easily removed by inserting a screwdriver between the lid and the top section in a provided space and lifting the screwdriver. The bottom section of the container includes a projection defining the bottom end of the wall of the middle section, and with the lid are adapted to allow stacking of the container/lid combinations. The projection adjacent the top and bottom of the middle section of the container enable the container to be handled by labeling machinery used in conjunction with conventional metal paint cans.

  • Patent number: 4298073
Abstract: A drill head having a housing enclosed at its lower end by a lower cover and enclosed at its upper end by a drive cap which carries a drill tool chuck. Radial-thrust bearings are located in the upper portion of the housing. A driven bevel gear is located below the radial-thrust bearings. A hollow passageway through the drill tool, chuck, bearings and driven gear is sealed by a face seal located below the driven gear and mounted in part on the lower cover so as to be easily replaced by removal of the lower cover. A driving bevel gear, on a horizontal axis, is mounted on an adapter on the rear end of the housing, the adapter receiving a hydraulic motor connected to the driving gear.

  • Patent number: 4293073
Abstract: A simple, smooth, strong yet light weight plastic container having an open top end and a tapered sidewall with only an annular integral collar positioned near the top end and to which a bail is connected. The collar is of a lesser dimension that a closure to cover the top end and the plastic is semi-rigid.

  • Patent number: 4273500
Abstract: A forklift assembly is pivotally connected to the front end portion of a self-propelled mobile frame. A mounting plate extends transversely across the front end portion of the mobile frame. A hydraulic lift cylinder is bolted to the intermediate portion of the mounting plate closely adjacent to the front axles of the mobile frame, and the piston rod of the lift cylinder is pinned to a lug extending rearwardly from the forklift assembly. Extension and retraction of the piston rod raises and lowers the forklift assembly relative to the mobile frame. The lug is connected to the piston rod to permit movement of the lug on a shoulder portion of the piston rod so that the torsional forces exerted on the forklift assembly are not transferred to the piston rod of the lift cylinder. Guide members are secured to the rear of the forklift assembly and the mounting plate to maintain vertical movement of the lift cylinder relative to the mounting plate.

  • Patent number: 4117610
Abstract: A combination bulldozer blade and materials handling bucket is mounted on the front end of an earth working machine. The bulldozer blade portion of the combination device is generally constructed and arranged to function in a substantially conventional manner. Pivotally mounted about the bulldozer blade and suitably provided with powered actuation means is a scoop having a concave bottom and parallel sides. Powered actuation of the scoop to a retracted position between the blade and the machine sets up the machine in its bulldozing mode. Having used the machine to bulldoze a pile of material into contact with the blade, the scoop is then actuated to its extended position, through the pile of material, thereby depositing the material encompassed by the scoop into an upwardly open bucket formed between the blade and the bottom and sides of the scoop.
