  • Publication number: 20240386625
Abstract: An augmented reality (AR) device includes a camera unit, a display unit, and an AR unit. The AR unit is configured to obtain a rendered image of an area. The rendered image includes a virtual marker indicating a virtual target location in the rendered image, the virtual target location corresponding to a physical target location in the area for aiming a light fixture. The AR unit is also configured to display on the display unit a real-time image of the area as seen by the camera unit, where a reticle of the camera unit is displayed over the real-time image. The AR unit is further configured to display the rendered image overlayed on and anchored to the real-time image, where the AR device is positionally adjustable together with the light fixture such that the reticle overlaps the virtual marker to aim the light fixture at the physical target location.

  • Patent number: 11930572
Abstract: A system for emitting light (such as a luminaire) includes a first light emitting diode (LED) string and a first LED driver that is electrically connected in parallel to the first LED string. The system also may include a second (or more) LED string(s), each associated with an additional LED driver. One-way conductors and normally-open switches are used so that if one LED driver fails, the remaining LED driver(s) will deliver power to the failed driver's LED string so that the light remains operational, but with a reduced brightness.

  • Patent number: 10779368
Abstract: A system of networked lighting devices includes a group of lighting device fixture controllers connected in a communication chain. The communication chain provides for transfer of data packets between the lighting device fixture controllers and a central controller. Each fixture controller includes a first power input that receives power from a primary power source, and a priority switch that is configured to switch the fixture controller from the primary power source to a source of DC power upon detecting failure of the primary power source. The source of DC power is sufficient to power the fixture controller and enable the fixture controller to continue to pass a stream of data to other controllers in the communication chain, but it is not sufficient to power the fixture controller's associated lighting device.

  • Patent number: 10701771
Abstract: A lighting device includes multiple light emitting diode (LED) channels. Each LED channel is connected in parallel to an output rail of a power converter. The power converter may be a buck regulator. Each LED channel may include an LED string of one or more LEDs, a first transistor that is electrically connected between the LED string and ground, a second transistor that is electrically connected between the first transistor and ground, and a current sensing resistor that is electrically connected between the first transistor and the second transistor. This design provides for self-regulation of current across all LED channels when another LED channel is added to or deleted from the lighting device.

  • Patent number: 9800431
Abstract: A system of networked lighting devices includes a central controller and a group of lighting devices. Each lighting device may include a fixture controller, one or more lighting modules, and a communication interface. The central controller receives data packets and send them to the lighting devices via a ring topology. The lighting devices may be connected to each other via the ring topology, or a set of routers may be connected in the ring topology, with each router controlling one or more connected lighting devices. The central controller and/or the fixture controllers may each translate data packets from one protocol to a different protocol. The different protocol may be a protocol that is compatible with the local system of networked devices, and/or a protocol that is compatible with the lighting device(s) that will use the data packets to actuate according to a command from the central controller.
