  • Patent number: 10549395
Abstract: A hand tool enabling self-aligned placement and post alignment clamping of a surface mounted tooling element and a method for manufacturing such a tool. Using an additive manufacturing process, a tool housing may be manufactured in which one or more internal voids allow insertion and rotational movement along and about a longitudinal axis of the housing, respectively, of a member having a radially extending portion. A handle and a brace may be coupled to the proximal and distal ends of the member to facilitate operation of the tool and placement of the surface mounted tooling element, respectively. Such member may also be spring loaded to enable the tool to clamp itself to a workpiece during the mounting operation, with the radially extending member portion limiting rotational travel of the brace.

  • Patent number: 10553465
Abstract: A system for controlling of wafer bow in plasma processing stations is described. The system includes a circuit that provides a low frequency RF signal and another circuit that provides a high frequency RF signal. The system includes an output circuit and the stations. The output circuit combines the low frequency RF signal and the high frequency RF signal to generate a plurality of combined RF signals for the stations. Amount of low frequency power delivered to one of the stations depends on wafer bow, such as non-flatness of a wafer. A bowed wafer decreases low frequency power delivered to the station in a multi-station chamber with a common RF source. A shunt inductor is coupled in parallel to each of the stations to increase an amount of current to the station with a bowed wafer. Hence, station power becomes less sensitive to wafer bow to minimize wafer bowing.

  • Patent number: 10551496
Abstract: Systems and methods for verifying the presence of an attendee in an education session include providing, by a computer hardware processor, information for a codified sound to a leader of the education session, where the leader is located in a substantially enclosed space in which the education session is held. The codified sound represents a leader code. The codified sound is emitted from a first device associated with the leader. A sound signal is received by a second device associated with the attendee. An attendee code is determined from the sound signal received by the second device. The system, such as using the computer hardware processor or the second device, determines whether the attendee code matches the leader code.

  • Patent number: 10551713
Abstract: A first display includes a layer of electro-optic material with first and second electrodes on opposed sides thereof. One or both electrodes have at least two spaced contacts. Voltage control means are arranged to vary the potential difference between the two spaced contacts attached to the same electrode. A second display includes a layer of electro-optic material with a sequence of at least three electrodes adjacent thereto. Voltage control means vary the potential difference between the first and last electrodes of the sequence. The electrodes of the sequence alternate between two surfaces of the layer of electro-optic material, and have edges that overlap or lie adjacent the preceding and following electrodes of the sequence. The electrodes, other than the first and last, are electrically isolated such that the potential thereof is controlled by passage of current through the layer of electro-optic material. Methods for driving these displays are also provided.

  • Patent number: 10552878
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for discovering advertisements on publisher web pages and for determining whether the advertisements are obscured by other content on the web pages. An advertisement tracking and discovery system may use web crawler applications to explore multiple publisher websites. The web crawler applications may gather advertisement data that includes information associated with detected advertisements, placement pathways by which the advertisements were placed on the publisher web pages, and obscuration information for the detected advertisements. Obscured advertisements that have been detected may be ignored during advertisement tracking and discovery operations or obscuration information may be stored and provided with other advertisement information for the obscured advertisements. The advertisement data may be aggregated and formatted to be provided to a user. The provided data may include advertisement screenshots and web page screenshots containing the advertisements.

  • Patent number: 10548773
Abstract: The present application relates generally to a method for vision correction using corneal collagen crosslinking (“CCXL”), in which the physician is able to precisely control the pattern of ultraviolet (“UV”) energy delivered to the cornea, by means of a programmable masking array placed between the UV source and the cornea. A CCXL LCD masked is used to create various patterns of “on” and “off” pixels. The physician is able to control the degree of polarization of the LCD pixels, thereby allowing the physician to create various patterns of UV irradiation and thus, varying levels of CCXL.

  • Patent number: 10553564
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a microelectronics package with vertically stacked flip-chip dies, and a process for making the same. The disclosed microelectronics package includes a module board, a first thinned flip-chip die with a through-die via, a second flip-chip die with a package contact at the bottom, and a mold compound. Herein, a top portion of the through-die via is exposed at top of the first thinned flip-chip die. The first thinned flip-chip die and the mold compound reside over the module substrate. The mold compound surrounds the first thinned flip-chip die and extends above the first thinned flip-chip die to define an opening. The second flip-chip die, which has a smaller plane size than the first thinned flip-chip die, resides within the opening and is stacked with the first thinned flip-chip die by coupling the package contact to the exposed top portion of the through-die via.
