Abstract: A portable fuel metering system (PMU) is described. The PMU has one or more flow meters capable of metering the flow of fluids, such as fuel, as the fluid is transferred from a source to a receiver. The PMU may include a telemetry unit configured to transmit parameters related to the fuel transfer to remote location. The PMU may be configured in a light, portable package that may be carried by one or two people. The PMU may include a power generator that is configured to use the flow of fluid to the PMU to generate power for the PMU's operation.

Abstract: A cabinet includes a locking system having a cabinet body including a bottom wall, a top wall, a first side wall, a second, opposing side wall, and a third side wall connected to the bottom wall, the top wall, and between the first side wall and the second side wall. At least one door is pivotally mounted to the cabinet body. The at least one door, bottom wall, top wall, first side wall, second side wall, and third side wall define a storage volume. A lock mechanism including a latch and release element is pivotally mounted inside the storage volume. The latch and release element is accessible only in the storage volume. A lock opening extends through the cabinet body at the lock mechanism. A lock element is insertable through the lock opening. The lock element includes a latch receiver that is selectively engageable by the latch and release element.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for detecting an integration pattern of a virus in a host genome. In particular, a method is provided encompassing selective cleavage of circularized DNA fragments carrying viral DNA with an RNA-guided endonuclease and at least one guide RNA or at least one pool of guide RNAs, followed by inverse PCR, in particular inverse long-range PCR, and sequencing. The invention further relates to kits for performing the method and application of the method.

Abstract: Audio systems, methods, and processor instructions are provided that detect voice activity of a user and provide an output voice signal. The systems, methods, and instructions receive a plurality of microphone signals and combine the plurality of microphone signals according to a first combination and a second combination. The first combination produces a primary signal having enhanced response in the direction of the user's mouth, and the second combination produces a reference signal having reduced response in the direction of the user's mouth. The primary signal and the reference signal are added and subtracted to produce a voice-enhanced signal and a voice-reduced signal, respectively. The voice-enhanced signal and the voice-reduced signal are compares and an output voice signal is provided based upon the comparison.

Abstract: A system and apparatus for increasing the amplitude of accommodation and/or changing the refractive power and/or enabling the removal of the clear or cataractous lens material of a natural crystalline lens is provided. Generally, the system comprises a laser, optics for delivering the laser beam and a control system for delivering the laser beam to the lens in a particular pattern. There is further provided apparatus for determining the shape and position of the lens with respect to the laser. There is yet further provided a method and system for delivering a laser beam in the lens of the eye in a predetermined shot pattern.

Abstract: Example illustrations are directed to a suspension system for a vehicle, which includes a controller configured to determine a roughness of a ground surface associated with the vehicle. The controller may be further configured to determine a height adjustment parameter for the suspension system based on the roughness determined, and to facilitate modification of the suspension system based on the determined height adjustment parameter. Example methods are provided, which may include determining, using a controller, a roughness of a ground surface associated with a vehicle, the roughness determined based on ride height. The method may also include determining, using the controller, a height adjustment parameter for a suspension system of the vehicle based on the roughness determined.

An implementation may include receiving a video clip from a first source and generating a genesis block of a blockchain, wherein the genesis block includes the video clip, metadata of the video clip, and a first hash value of both the video clip and the metadata. The implementation includes distributing the blockchain to a plurality of nodes in a blockchain network. The implementation includes for each indication received of activity performed on the video clip to be recorded on the blockchain, verifying the activity and generating a new block on the blockchain recording the activity. The implementation includes receiving a modified version of the video clip, verifying an authenticity of the modified version based on each activity recorded in the blockchain, and in response to determining that the modified version is not authentic, generating an alert indicating inauthenticity.

Abstract: A liquid extractor may include an extraction chamber containing a bed deck configured to support a solid material as the solid material is conveyed through the extraction chamber. To introduce solvent into the solid material being processed, the extractor may include a solvent injection orifice extending through the bed deck and a solvent injector. The solvent injector can receive solvent from a source and cause the solvent to rotate within the solvent injector before discharging the solvent through an outlet in fluid communication with the solvent injection orifice. The rotational flow motion imparted by the injector can create a vortex that functions to scout out any particles that may be present in the injector.

Abstract: Cost effective pressure sensors for gas meters are described herein. In an example, responsive to an abnormal condition at an ultrasonic metrology unit of a gas meter, rates of pressure sensor operation are increased. In the example, the operations may include: measuring gas-environment pressure values; measuring contemporaneous air-environment pressure values; calculating pressure difference values of the gas-environment pressure values minus the contemporaneous air-environment pressure values; and comparing pressure difference values to one or more threshold values.

Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for a vehicle suspension system. In some example methods, a height change request is received for a vehicle suspension having a displacement control for implementing height change requests. A displacement of at least one spring of the vehicle suspension may be determined, as well as whether the displacement satisfies a displacement control criteria. The height of the vehicle suspension may be changed using an air mass control in response to determining the displacement control criteria is not satisfied.
