Suggestion of group may be based on last use, document type, content, user(s), which account the user is in, and comparable factors. The user (or sender) may also be provided with options to set permissions for the attachment based on the upload destination selection. In some examples, upload of work documents to personal cloud storage may be prevented and suitable groups may be selected for user that are part of multiple groups.

In some examples, the rich attachment may be along with a link (e.g., a hypertext markup language “HTML” link) or similar construct by the application capable of handling the rich attachment. A receiving/forwarding (or replying) application that is incapable of handling the rich attachment features, may simply keep the link in the email without processing the rich features. When the email comes back or is forwarded to the application capable of handling the rich attachment, the HTML link may be recognized, the attachment and associated metadata extracted, and presented to the recipient as rich attachment (e.g., in an attachment well).

Abstract: A rights-managed email is provided for sending protected content from a sender to a recipient, whereby the recipient can render the protected content with a corresponding license if the recipient satisfies terms set forth in the license. In the email, a main information portion has a message that the email is rights management protected, and an attachment portion has the protected content. The recipient if enabled can render the protected content in the attachment portion. If not enabled, the recipient can only review the main information portion having the message. The enabled recipient recognizes that the email has the protected content in the attachment portion thereof, discounts the main information portion of the email, and examines the attachment portion of the email and proceeds based thereon to render the protected content in the attachment portion.

Each item in the list is associated with and displayed adjacent to a user interface control for flagging the associated list item. When selected, the user interface control is operative to flag the corresponding list item. Moreover, the user interface control is further operative to change its visual state to indicate that the corresponding list item is flagged. List items flagged by other users appear differently. When again selected, the user interface control is further operative to remove the flagged state for the corresponding item and to set the state of the item as completed.
