  • Patent number: 6099427
Abstract: A self-cleaning pulley device includes a cylindrical member including a body portion having an outer surface; a series of spaced apart recesses formed from the outer surface into the body portion, each recess of the series of recesses having a root portion, and the series of recesses defining a series of spaced apart ridges projecting above root portions for engaging corresponding recesses of a belt mounted on the body portion for movement over the cylindrical member. Importantly, the self-cleaning pulley device includes a series of dirt apertures formed at least one within each root portion of each recess for collecting any dirt particles and contamination entering into an area between the body portion of the cylindrical member and a belt mounted thereon, thereby self-cleaning the pulley device, eliminating noise and preventing functional inefficiencies in a belt and pulley assembly using the pulley device.

  • Patent number: 5307505
Abstract: A rapid reprogramming terminal (RRT) adapted for communication with military aircraft MIL-STD-1553 multiplex data bus which includes generally four avionics and one electronic warfare bus on board each aircraft. The RRT may be used to reprogram all electronic warfare and avionics systems aboard and aircraft including the bus controllers for each avionics or electronic warfare bus and the remote terminals connected to each bus. The RRT includes a high speed digital signal processor which executes functions required to reprogram a remote terminal or bus controller through software stored in an electrically erasable programmable read only memory (EEPROM). The information required to reprogram a remote terminal or bus controller is stored on an IC memory card which is electrically coupled to the digital signal processor.

  • Patent number: 5049948
Abstract: A copier/printer apparatus capable of duplex copying includes a roller assembly that shifts a sheet laterally while maintaining longitudinal movement of the sheet. A shaft that supports drive rolls that form nips with mating idler rolls has pins that extend into helical slots within the drive rolls such that the assembly rolls in a normal movement (axially) in one mode, while being able to have axial and lateral movement in another mode.

  • Patent number: 5014976
Abstract: In a reproduction apparatus outputting copy sheets via exit rollers to be stacked in an adjacent stacking tray, which exit rollers are also reversible to feed a selected copy sheet still in the nip back into the reproduction apparatus to be further processed, the previously outputted and stacking copy sheets are prevented from being recaptured by these reversed rotation exit rollers, by automatically interposing a one-way gate or trap and baffle between the stacking copy sheets and the exit rollers, to prevent accidental reacquisition of those sheets into the reversed rollers, but which gate or trap is automatically deflected out of the way of a sheet being outputted from the nip of the exit rollers by the outputted sheet itself, without requiring any other actuating mechanism.
