  • Patent number: 9435903
Abstract: A system and method for regularizing irregularly sampled 5D seismic data by assigning each trace to a common midpoint bin and mapping each trace to an offset vector tile (OVT) with a calculated center azimuth; assembling an azimuth sector with all offsets of interest and a narrow range of the center azimuths from the OVTs; rotating the azimuth sector to align with an inline direction and a crossline dimension; selecting a subset of traces with a single crossline value to create an irregular 3D volume; regularizing the irregular 3D volume; and repeating as necessary to generate a regularly sampled seismic dataset. The regularization may include interpolation by an algorithm such as an anti-leakage Fourier interpolator. The regularly sampled seismic dataset may be used to characterize the subsurface by further processing such as tomography.

  • Publication number: 20130056008
Abstract: A protection device can include a first, barrier layer of moisture-proof material and a second, absorbing layer of absorbent material with respective openings therein for receiving a penis of a sexual partner during intercourse. The barrier layer is provided adjacent to the male sexual partner, and the absorbing layer material is provided adjacent to the female sexual partner. The absorbing material may absorb bodily fluids from intercourse while the barrier layer prevents such bodily fluids from reaching the male sexual partner, for example, to protect clothing or prevent bodily contact. The barrier and absorbing layers may have the same size in plan view. Alternatively, the barrier layer may be larger than the absorbing layer to provide an increased region of protection from bodily fluids. The protection device may also be provided with a condom, separately or coupled to the barrier and/or absorbing layers, to enhance protection from bodily fluids.

  • Publication number: 20080255881
Abstract: In at least one exemplary embodiment, a method and system for an automated intelligent parallel processing enabled architectural framework for supporting electronic human services (EHS) are disclosed. EHS include healthcare services. The system and method may include, for example, a methodology and process environment component having an intelligent parallel business process, a collaborative environment component, and a knowledge enablement and augmentation environment component that are operatively interconnected via an intelligent broker component/module. The architectural framework can be applied to one or more domains on a network. The intelligent parallel business process can include an initiation sub-process, an evaluation sub-process, a formulation sub-process and a communication sub-process.

  • Patent number: 4023414
Abstract: An altimeter has a pointer which rotates clockwise once round a dial for each thousand unit (feet or meters) increase in altitude, the zero of the dial being in the nine o'clock position. Two digital displays are situated one above and one below the horizontal through the dial zero. When the pointer lies in the upper segment of the dial a reading is shown on the upper display and when the pointer lies in the lower segment of the dial a reading is shown on the lower display. When the pointer is in the region of the zero position (for example within 100 feet of the zero position) a reading is shown on both displays. The upper display then reads thousands corresponding to a pointer position above zero and the lower display reads thousands corresponding to a pointer position below zero (whether the pointer is above or below zero).
