  • Patent number: 8468111
Abstract: The technology described herein includes a system and/or a method for determining confidence of object identification. The technology includes selecting at least one confidence rule from a plurality of confidence rules based on a first discrimination identification and a second discrimination identification. The technology further includes generating an object confidence weight based on one or more first identification parameters, one or more second identification parameters, and the selected at least one confidence rule. The technology further includes fusing the received set of data based on an alpha parameter, a beta parameter, and the object confidence weight. The technology further includes generating a probability of identification of a classification of the object based on the fused data.

  • Patent number: 4909005
Abstract: A keeper clip for securing the joints between casings of a type having a channel for attachment to a metal door frame. The keeper clip provides a secure and attractive joint without gaps or misalignment. The keeper clip has an elongated crosspiece extending between a pair of legs and an arm. Each of the pair of legs extend normally from an end of the crosspiece. The pair of legs and crosspiece thus form a U-shaped cross section for frictional reception within the channel of the header casing. The arm extends coplanar with the elongated crosspiece along the longitudinal axis of the header casing. The arm is resiliently deformable to receive an offset overlay of a side casing between the header casing and the arm. A portion of a free end of the arm is bent in a direction away from the header casing to permit easy insertion of the offset overlay. The keeper clip may be formed of a single strip of resilient material such as spring steel.

  • Patent number: 4527369
Abstract: A fastener is disclosed for attaching a channel shaped fastening strip to a door frame or the like. The fastener comprises a pair of oppositely facing loops which are insertable into the channel of the facing strip and, in doing so, the loops frictionally engage the sides of the facing strip and secures the facing strip to the frame. At least one and preferably two tangs formed on the end of the fastener extend through it and engage the sides of an opening in the frame to detachably secure the fastener to the frame.

  • Patent number: 4498272
Abstract: An improved panel or wallboard fastener for securing a panel to a framing member. The wallboard fastener comprises a substantially planar base having a single impaling flange secured to it at a midpoint. The impaling flange includes a first leg which extends substantially perpendicularly outwardly from the base and a second leg secured to the first leg and which lies in a plane substantially parallel to but spaced from the base. The second leg of the impaling flange forms a point which is insertable into an edge of the panel, typically a sheet of wallboard.

  • Patent number: 4448007
Abstract: A wallboard fastener comprising a flat base portion, an elongated tongue portion coplanar with the said base portion, a pair of flanges extending substantially normal to said base portion on opposite sides of the said tongue portion and a pair of impaling flanges mounted to said flanges so as to extend over and substantially parallel to the base portion. The improved construction of the fastener of the present invention includes an aperture in the base portion as well as in the tongue portion and separate ribs are provided for the base portion and the tongue portion so that the tongue portion is severable from the base portion without deforming the rib structures. Preferably, the fastener includes an additional rib structure disposed across the interspace between the ribs in the base portion and the ribs in the tongue portion, and which is offset from the ribs of both portions.

  • Patent number: 4149353
Abstract: An elongated, hollow stud, or wall support member, is formed of sheet material, and has at least one longitudinally extending planar wall. The wall is formed with a longitudinally extending series of rectangularly formed holes, the holes being so aligned as to each receive a wall panel retainer so disposed therein as to effect an abutting relationship between the edges of two adjacent wall panels. The retainer has a spring tensioned clip portion removably insertable through the holes to project interiorly of the wall stud, and further has terminally formed, sharply pointed teeth, disposed exteriorly of the hole to engage an edge portion of a wall panel. Such imbed themselves in the material of the wall panel.
