  • Publication number: 20150158714
Abstract: A pump-less, refrigerated food dispensing system including a refrigerated cabinet and a cassette drive system disposed within the refrigerated cabinet. The cassette drive system including at least one cartridge holder, at least one compression assembly operably coupled to the at least one cartridge holder, at least one motor operably coupled to the at least one compression assembly, and at least one switching mechanism operably coupled to the at least one motor. A method for dispensing food from a pump-less refrigerated food dispensing system wherein at least one step includes transferring power from one of the at least two motors to another of the at least two motors when the compression device is at a final predetermined position.

  • Patent number: 8424725
Abstract: A semi-frozen beverage dispenser with an improved flow proportioning mechanism is provided. In a filling cycle, a first valve regulating the syrup flow opens first to deliver a predetermined volume before it closes and a second valve regulating the water flow opens to deliver a volume according to the desired water to syrup ratio. A common flow sensor measures the liquid flow volume for both the syrup and water and provides the information to the control system. If it takes too long to deliver the expected volume, the system gives out a liquid-low warning.

  • Publication number: 20120104046
Abstract: A dispensing apparatus is provided for dispensing a semi-frozen product, such as a semi-frozen comestible or a semi-frozen drink. The dispensing apparatus has at least one freezing barrel defining a freezing chamber. The freezing barrel includes a longitudinally extending inner cylinder and an evaporator disposed about at least a portion of an outer surface of said inner cylinder. The evaporator includes a plurality of channels disposed about the outer surface of the inner cylinder. Each channel defines a heat exchange fluid flow passage through which refrigerant may pass in heat exchange relationship with product in the freezing chamber.

  • Patent number: 6490872
Abstract: A softserve product refrigeration and dispensing machine (1) having numerous novel features to make the machine and the operation thereof more efficient; a novel supply method and apparatus provides raw product mix and gaseous matter at the proper ratios to the freezing cylinder (17) of the machine. Additionally, and also in conjunction with a novel door and product dispensing apparatus (40, 40a), the special design features enable the maintenance of a dispenser (60), beater (110), freezing chamber and other parts of the machine capable of easy flushing with a cleaning and/or sanitizing solution via the supply method and apparatus without requiring machine disassembly with no retention of the food stuffs and the like.

  • Patent number: 4413776
Abstract: A controller for a damper maintains a substantially constant volumetric rate of flow of air through a duct into a controlled space for a given condition in the space and resets the rate of flow as a function of at least one sensed condition which causes changes in a control pressure. A dual lever system enables the controller to be calibrated to establish various air flow spans while utilizing substantially the full available range of control pressure to effect a change in air flow within each selected span.

  • Patent number: 4042173
Abstract: A butterfly damper, controlling volume air flow through a duct, is biased toward a closed position at least partially by aerodynamic pressure and is moved against its bias by a small pneumatic actuator in response to a sensed condition. The position of the damper is stabilized by a feedback and oscillations are damped.
