  • Publication number: 20160381822
Abstract: A process variable transmitter for use in an industrial process includes a housing having a cavity formed therein. The housing has a barrier which divides the cavity into first and second cavities. Preferably, measurement circuitry in the first cavity is configured to measure a process variable of the industrial process. A terminal block assembly is positioned in the second cavity. The terminal block assembly forms a seal with the housing thereby forming a third cavity between the barrier and a circuit board of the terminal block assembly.

  • Patent number: 8334788
Abstract: A process variable transmitter for use in measuring a process variable of an industrial process includes a display. The transmitter comprises a housing, a process variable sensor configured to sense the process variable of the industrial process, transmitter circuitry coupled to the process variable sensor configured to provide a transmitter output and a connection member in the housing configured to couple to the transmitter circuitry. A first rotatable connector on the connection member includes a plurality of first conductors. A module includes a second rotatable connector having a plurality of second conductors. The plurality of first and second conductors are configured to electrically connect together.

  • Patent number: 6546805
Abstract: An environmentally sealed service block is mounted inside a field wiring compartment of a process fluid transmitter. The service block has field wiring terminals, sealed jumper assemblies and sealed pushbutton switches connected to a sealed cable and plug. The sealed plug plugs into a permanently sealed transmitter assembly. High impedance programming circuitry connected to the jumper assemblies and pushbutton switches is completely sealed and not subject to malfunction due to contamination present in the field wiring compartment.

  • Patent number: 6511337
Abstract: An environmentally sealed instrument circuit adapter connecting a process transmitter to instrument wiring. An environmentally sealing elastomeric part seals between a lip on an outer sleeve and a connector header of the process transmitter. One or more washers can provide sealing between the lip and the elastomeric part when tightened. The adapter protects contact pins, sockets and loop wires from damage due to liquids, humidity, dust and other contaminants.

  • Patent number: 5727110
Abstract: A remotely powered field instrument comprises a housing with an electronics compartment, a terminal compartment, and a bulkhead separating the electronics compartment from the terminal compartment. A first electrical lead extends through the bulkhead. A mounting plate is secured within the terminal compartment. An interface module is positioned within the terminal compartment and secured to the mounting plate. The interface module comprises an optical connector, an optical-to-electrical converter coupled to the optical connector and a second electrical lead coupled between the optical-to-electrical converter and the first electrical lead.
