  • Patent number: 7090833
Abstract: A shampoo/conditioner that repels lice and aids in the removal of head lice and nits is presented. It is a formulation comprising at least one homeopathic louse insecticide included with acetic acid in association with a gentle wetting agent and shampoo and conditioner and softener components, all tested for low dermal irritation with a final pH below 4.5 and a viscosity of 1200 to 2000 CPS. The product reduces or eliminates the activity of live lice and makes it significantly easier to comb out nits. The product creates an environment repulsive to head lice thereby acting to prevent re-infestation. It is suited for the daily use that is necessary to insure permanent removal of all lice and nits by combing and serves to beautify the hair.

  • Publication number: 20060179080
Abstract: Source data is centralized in a database and derivative data sets are formed from the source data. When it is desired to modify derivative data, the source data can be accessed and modified to form a new derivative data set, instead of modifying the prior data set, such that source data integrity is maintained. Tags are associated with derivative data, which can be embedded in the derivative data or associated with the derivative data as an attached element. Tags identify information such as the server that generated the derivative data, the source data and any tasks or transformations that were applied to the source data to generate the derivative data. Users with assigned access privileges to source data can be given access to a source data repository, whereby a number of users can access the source files and modify derivative data files by changes in the source data file.

  • Patent number: 6612655
Abstract: A method and apparatus for cutting a borehole substantially in the shape of a bread loaf within a mine includes four cutting systems. The first cutting system is a pair of three-armed, counter rotating, cutting heads which remove material from the mine face in a substantially vertical plane. The second cutting system is a pair of rotating cutting drums which follow the pair of counter rotating cutting heads. The third cutting system is a substantially vertical, rotating cutting head which removes the kerf formed at the ceiling or roof portion of the borehole. The fourth cutting system is a plow which both removes the kerf at the bottom of the borehole and directs the mined material to a conveyor system to remove the mined material from the mine.

  • Patent number: 6546754
Abstract: An apparatus for manufacture of quartz crucibles comprising a hollow mold having a bottom wall portion and a side wall portion and defining a hollow space therein. The walls of the mold include a plurality of openings to facilitate gas passage therethrough. A rotatable support of the mold is provided to rotate the mold about a vertical axis. A vacuum is applied through the walls of the mold to draw quartz particles against the walls and remove gas. A shroud surrounds at least a portion of the hollow mold; at least one gas inlet positioned to provide a gas to a space between the shroud and the mold. A housing overlaps at least a portion of the shroud and the hollow mold. At least one gas outlet is positioned to exhaust gas which may exit the space between the shroud and the mold. Alternatively, or in addition to the outlet, a space may be provided between the housing (hood) and the shroud to facilitate gas discharge.

Abstract: An optical endoscope assembly. The assembly includes an endoscope portion which can be optical or electrical, surrounded by a sheath. The sheath includes a window pointing generally to the side, and a mirror which changes a position of incoming light. The mirror can be fixed or movable. If a fixed mirror is used, then a set of interchangeable sheaths can be used, each of which has a different mirror angle. The sheath can also be rotated once in the body to change an orientation angle from which the light is received. An image processing circuit may process the image received from the endoscope, including inverting at least a portion of the image.
