  • Publication number: 20160023573
Abstract: A method for operating an electric machine of a ground vehicle includes periodically determining an aging parameter based upon a temperature of the electric machine and periodically determining a short-term aging effect based upon the periodically determined aging parameter. A long-term aging effect is determined based upon the short-term aging effect. A short-term temperature adjustment is determined based upon the short-term aging effect and a long-term temperature adjustment is determined based upon the long-term aging effect. A temperature-based derated motor torque is determined based upon the long-term temperature adjustment and the short-term temperature adjustment. Operation of the electric machine is controlled responsive to an operator command for torque based upon the temperature-based derated motor torque.

  • Patent number: 6276651
Abstract: A mounting device (14) for a flagpole (10) is mounted on a fixed horizontal support rail (16). Mounting device (14) has two generally identical parallel clamping plates (18, 20) each having a flagpole opening (28) for receiving the flagpole (10) and a stud opening (30) for receiving a threaded stud (46). Flagpole (10) is secured within aligned flagpole openings (28) of clamping plates (18, 20) and threaded stud (46) is secured within aligned stud openings (30). Stud (46) is secured at one end to clamping plate (18). A manual adjusting knob (56) threaded onto an extending end portion (54) of stud (46) is manually rotated for engaging clamping plate (20) to draw serrated teeth (26) on plates (18, 20) tightly against rail (16).

  • Patent number: 5375555
Abstract: Assemblies for fastening the upper and lower inner corners of a flag to its supporting pole in a manner that prevent furling. Each assembly includes the combination of a swivel that is positioned longitudinally on the pole by a set screw, each swivel including an outwardly extending flange or ring member with a hole near an outer edge thereof. An inner ring member attached through such hole and lies in one plane, and an outer ring member is linked to the inner ring member and through a grommet near an adjacent inner corner of the flag. The outer ring member lies in a plane that is substantially orthogonal to the inner ring as the flag flies in the wind.
