  • Publication number: 20070104909
Abstract: A device for reducing wrinkles by holding the wrinkle apart, including a core that substantially resists compressive forces applied by a wrinkle; an adhesive layer attached to the core to adhesively secure the core to the wrinkle; a cover layer attached to the core on a side opposite from a side that is attached to the adhesive layer; and a release liner attached to the adhesive layer, wherein the adhesive liner does not damage the adhesive layer when reduced from the adhesive layer. Also disclosed is a method of reducing wrinkles by holding the wrinkle apart, including stretching a wrinkle apart by pulling on opposite sides of the wrinkle in a direction that is substantially orthogonal to the wrinkle, applying the device, and allowing it to remain applied for a substantial amount of time such that the wrinkle is reduced.

  • Patent number: 5808730
Abstract: A device is provided for measuring angular displacement and rotational movement of a shaft or linear displacement of an object comprising a light source, a Multichannel Fiber Optic Bundle, an optical code wheel or linear scale with optical tracks for light modulation, including typically a raster and a reference mark, a system of photodetectors, amplifiers, comparators of analog signals and a digital electronic block. The device forms a sequence of electric pulses whose number is proportional to displacement, a set of pulses indicating zero position of the disk, and also a logic signal indicating the direction of the displacement. A multichannel fiber optic bundle provides channels for the transmission and collection of light from the light source to the sensing site and back to the photodetectors and for light intensity monitoring of the source.
