  • Publication number: 20160228290
Abstract: The present invention relates to a personal cooling device, in particular a device incorporating ice. There is provided a personal cooling device comprising an envelope at least partially formed of partially liquid permeable material surrounding an absorbent material, the envelope having a sealable opening into which ice or another frozen material can be inserted. The absorbency of the absorbent material being sufficient to absorb the majority of water with only a small proportion of the water passing though the permeable material.

  • Publication number: 20150184936
Abstract: An absorbent product has an elongate matted strip of absorbent material, including super absorber, within an enveloping container. This has a double skin bottom and a single, folded top skin and is heat sealed around its periphery to contain the absorbent material. The top skin has an elongate, double Z fold along its length. As the container absorbs moisture it expands from a flat form to a round shape. The super absorber causes tension in the skins of the container as it reaches its absorption limit which tears the self-adhesive strips. The folds unfold and the round shape slumps to expose inner webs. An indicator in the form off the words “FULL-CHANGE” printed in a bright colour repeatedly along the inner webs is provided to alert maintenance staff of the need to change filled absorbent products for fresh one.

  • Publication number: 20090254844
Abstract: A system and method for allocating resources to an event and/or managing the allocation of the resources. The event may comprise a ticketed event, such as, a tour, a shuttle service, an excursion, a sporting event, a concert, a play, a stage performance, or other type of performance or event, and the resources may comprise one or more ground transportation vehicles. According to an embodiment, the system comprises an interface configured to transfer event data from a reservation or ticketing system, one or more data structures for storing the event data and data for one or more resources, and a processor configured to allocate the one or more resources to the event.

  • Publication number: 20070141144
Abstract: The present invention relates generally to formulations comprising paracetamol. More particularly, the present invention provides a swallow formulation comprising paracetamol which facilitates the rapid delivery of paracetamol into the circulatory system following oral administration. The present invention further relates to methods for inducing efficient pain relief including an analgesic effect by the administration of the paracetamol formulation.

  • Patent number: 6715341
Abstract: The present invention provides an apparatus for use in measuring permeability of a material. The apparatus 1 comprises a non-contact probe 6 comprising an inner pipe 8 and an outer pipe 10 which are arranged coaxially; a gas inlet for admitting a flow of gas into a first space 9 defined between the inner and outer pipes; and pressure difference measuring systems DP for measuring a pressure difference &Dgr;P between said first space (P1) and a second space (P2) comprising the interior of the inner pipe 8. The probe 6 is mounted on a moveable head assembly 11 and the apparatus 1 further includes a position control system 12, 22 for controlling the movement of the head assembly 11 so as to cause the probe 6 to scan across a surface 2 of the material to be analysed, while maintaining the probe 6 at a constant distance Z from said surface 2, and for collecting pressure difference &Dgr;P measurements, using said pressure difference measuring device DP during scanning movement of the probe 6.

  • Publication number: 20020049658
Abstract: A method for using a computer network to facilitate the resale of season tickets. Using this method, both prospective buyers and prospective sellers may post offers to buy or offers to sell as well as accept offers to sell and offers to buy. In each case credit card accounts of those posting offers are authorized when the offers are posted; in the case of offers to buy, authorization is obtained for offering price and a transaction charge, and in the case of offers to sell, authorization is obtained for a ticket pickup courier charge.

  • Patent number: 4025711
Abstract: Synthetic styrene-conjugated diolefin polymers, e.g. SBR rubbers, are recovered from their aqueous polymerization emulsion by coagulation with acid and a lignin compound. The conventional use of sodium chloride as a coagulant is avoided so as to overcome the problem of sodium chloride in the effluent. By this process of the invention, a rubber crumb of increased porosity is obtained, which is easier to dry.
