Patent number: 10960932Abstract: This disclosure relates to a motor vehicle floor assembly, and further relates to a method of constructing a motor vehicle which reduces the number of fixing points (i.e., fastener attachment points) on a vehicle chassis. An example floor assembly includes a vehicle frame, a floor panel, and at least one underbody vehicle component forming a subassembly with the floor panel installed to an underside of the vehicle frame. The floor panel comprises at least one recess configured to receive a portion of the vehicle frame.Type: GrantFiled: July 10, 2019Date of Patent: March 30, 2021Assignee: Ford Global Technologies, LLCInventors: Daniel T. Jackson, Ken George Dell

Publication number: 20190126842Abstract: A motor vehicle seat is disclosed having an armrest assembly including an armrest and a retractable utility support arm having a ball-shaped mount for use when extended away from the armrest to mount a small item of utility in a passenger compartment of a motor vehicle. The ball-shaped mount is stowable when not in use in a recess formed in the armrest so as not to cause an obstruction within the passenger compartment.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 10, 2018Publication date: May 2, 2019Applicant: Ford Global Technologies, LLCInventors: Daniel T. Jackson, Ken George Dell

Patent number: 10189378Abstract: A motor vehicle having a motor vehicle seating arrangement mounted on a floor of the motor vehicle is disclosed in which a utility item in such as a central seat is supported by two spaced apart outer seats so that no floor engaging support is required for the central seat. Advantageously, the central seat is slidingly supported by the pair of outer seats so as to permit one of the outer seats to be slid forward to improve access to a row of seats mounted to the rear of the motor vehicle seating arrangement without moving the central seat or the other outer seat.Type: GrantFiled: March 21, 2018Date of Patent: January 29, 2019Assignee: Ford Global Technologies, LLCInventors: Daniel T. Patent number: 8123586Abstract: An exercise gaming device in which the user stands in front of a housing having a plurality of rows of lights extending from the front of the housing to the rear of the housing. The rows of lights are sequentially illuminated to give the illusion that the lights are an illuminated light rope over which the user must jump. There is a sensor in the jump area that is electrically connected to the illuminated lights to determine if the user jumps at the correct time when the lights at the bottom of the housing are illuminated. The device continues to rotate the light rope as long as the user continues jumping at the appropriate time, or until the game ends.Type: GrantFiled: April 28, 2007Date of Patent: February 28, 2012Assignee: Dell Electronics Laboratories, Ltd.Inventor: George Dell

Patent number: 4819818Abstract: There is provided a micro-computer driven random data selection system. The processor of this system is arranged to read a matrix of switches to determine a range of numbers and to establish a software controlled sequencing routine corresponding to this range. The interrupt terminal of the micro-computer is used to sense the activation of the system and causes the number selection. The software of the present invention presets the internal counters to the requisite range in response to the status of the switch matrix and displays that range in one of the two LED displays. Following sensing of the range, the computer starts the sequencing or counting and continuously sequences until deactivated. When the "roll" switch is operated, the computer samples and displays the last number in the sequence. Data for controlling the displays and loading the counter is stored in memory locations and the address for this data is developed from an index generated from the switch matrix inputs.Type: GrantFiled: May 8, 1987Date of Patent: April 11, 1989Assignee: John J.
