  • Publication number: 20240112164
Abstract: A method using one or more mobile devices for transporting information from an automated teller machine (“ATM”) to a central server when the ATM does not support a network connection and, upon return of the one or more mobile devices to the ATM, updating the ATM may be provided. The method may include transporting electronic transaction data processed locally at the ATM, via a mobile device, to a location where a network connection between the mobile device and the central server may be established. When in a location including network connection, the method may include transmitting the electronic transaction data to the central server. When the mobile device is detected to have returned to be within the pre-determined range of the ATM, the method may include transmitting a data packet to the ATM, the data packet received from the central server, thereby updating the ATM of the transmittal.

  • Patent number: 7734384
Abstract: A tuned mass damper system and vibration damper method for a hybrid electric road vehicle is disclosed. The vehicle has a powertrain with an engine, at least one electric machine and a battery. The battery mass forms a part of a vehicle vibration absorber that attenuates vibrations induced by road wheels of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 7490000
Abstract: An alternative fuel vehicle having a fuel economy control module with associated logic that allows the vehicle to operate in a fuel economy mode based on a desired fuel economy preference. The fuel economy control logic is in electrical communication with a vehicle system controller (VSC) and may be integrally formed as a sub-module within the VSC. A fuel economy control switch controlled by the fuel economy control logic toggles between an on and an off position to enable or disable a fuel economy mode. A fuel economy control selector allows a user to select a desired fuel economy mode preference once the fuel economy control switch is on. The fuel economy mode selected represents a predefined desired fuel economy preference such as a distance per amount of fuel consumed, or alternatively, a percentage of a balance between a fuel economy operation and a fuel performance operation.

  • Patent number: 7395803
Abstract: An engine lubrication oil flow control system and control method for an engine in a hybrid electric vehicle powertrain is disclosed. An engine lubrication oil pump is powered by a lubrication oil pump motor. Provision is made to start the lubrication pump motor at the initiation of engine cranking upon a transition from an engine-off driving mode to an engine-on driving mode. An engine oil pressure signal is used to indicate engine filter maintenance is needed. The oil pump motor may be powered by a vehicle powertrain traction battery.

  • Publication number: 20080087482
Abstract: A hybrid electric vehicle includes an internal combustion engine and a traction battery. A rotating electrical machine coupled to said engine charges the traction battery. A motor driven charge air booster operatively connected with said traction battery and with said air inlet functions as an electrically driven supercharger.

  • Patent number: 7292932
Abstract: A system and method for controlling the speed of an engine includes determining a desired engine power output and engine speed, and determining whether the desired engine speed is within one of a number of predetermined engine speed ranges. It is then determined whether a noise-vibration level for the vehicle is within a target range when it is determined that the desired engine speed is within one of the predetermined engine speed ranges. The noise-vibration level is a function of at least one of a corresponding vibration level for one or more vehicle mechanical systems, and a noise level for the passenger compartment for the engine operating at the desired engine speed. The engine is then controlled at the desired engine speed when the determined noise-vibration level is within a target range, and it is determined that the desired engine speed is within one of the predetermined engine speed ranges.
