    Abstract: A grain bin structure for storing, conditioning, and drying grain having a floor, side walls, and a roof. The side walls are formed with a plurality of horizontal and vertical corrugations formed integrally therein and within a common circumferential plane. The vertical corrugations function as stiffeners and as vertical air conduits to dispense pressurized air about the periphery of the bin. Optionally, conduit tubes may be located within the vertically disposed corrugations to further channel air flow. These conduits are formed with an inner wall substantially flush with the interior of the horizontal corrugation, thereby maintaining a low silhouette while maximizing a cross-sectional area within each conduit to avoid undue restriction of air flow.

    Abstract: A latch arrangement for an access opening cover on a bulk material storage structure. The access opening will include a frame defining an opening periphery, with the covers hinged for movement between a closed position and an open position. Each cover will include at least one slide bar extending between sides of the cover. Each slide bar has a length such that the ends of the slide bar are in proximity to the frame. Lock studs extend inwardly from the frame, with one stud associated with each end of each slide bar. Each slide bar is mounted for sliding movement perpendicular to its longitudinal axis in the plane of the cover between latched and unlatched positions, and includes a stud face and a lock face. The stud face includes slits through which the studs may pass at the closed position of the cover, allowing the bar to drop down over the stud. When dropped down over the stud into the latched position, the lock face abuts against the stud, arresting movement of the bar.

    Abstract: A polyamide resin composition for use as laminating ink resin binder is provided by the condensation reaction product of dimerized fatty acids having 36 carbon atoms, at least one dibasic acid, at least one C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl diamine and at least one piperazine-like diamine. The equivalents of amine groups in the composition are substantially equal to the equivalents of carboxyl groups, where 30 to 50 equivalent perecent of the carboxyl groups are contributed by the dibasic acid component and 73 to 93 equivalent percent of the amine groups are contributed by the piperazine-like diamine component. Printing inks with the polyamide resin composition of this invention are also provided.

    Abstract: An active system for tagging and detecting a surgical implement accidentally left within a patient after the completion of a surgical procedure. A miniature electrical oscillator is attached to each implement and actuated before surgery begins. The pulsed output of each oscillator is coupled to the body's internal fluids and tissue. Before the patient is sutured, a detector, located externally from the body, is employed to sense the pulses from any remaining implements. In the event such pulses are sensed, a sensory alert is actuated and corrective action taken.

    Abstract: The tubular unit with vessel engaging cuff structure is a unitary unit including a tube having a compressible cuff surrounding the outer surface thereof. The cuff includes a resilient, porous inner material surrounding the tube and an outer liquid impervious layer which may be bonded to or integrally formed with the inner material. The tube may include means to evacuate fluid from the cuff or, alternatively, separate means are directly connected to the cuff to accomplish such evacuation and contraction of the cuff. Vessel engaging appendages may be incorporated on the cuff.
