Abstract: Consumer type outdoor electrical luminaire that is simple, safe, affordable and weatherproof, is disclosed for providing variable illumination levels along walks and driveways, thereby conserving electrical energy. A novel self-powered convection cooling system enables a wide variation in illumination range. The luminaire contains only five parts, in addition to the bulb and fasteners. Supported on a vertical stanchion, it may be permanently or portably installed.

Abstract: The electrical fixture provides a simple, fail-safe, electrical casing, and electrical service outlet, that may be used out-of-doors by consumers to power outdoor electrical appliances. It contains no doors, gaskets, springs, counter-weights or moveable parts to achieve weatherproof operation. Economic manufacture is achieved since fabrication of the fixture requires only a top cover, base and support stanchion, in addition to the electrical device. A toggle switch controls electrical outlet receptacle power and the casing may also be used as an outdoor hermetically sealed, junction box.

Abstract: A moisture responsive switch is employed for controlling the operation of a fluid operated sprinkling system or the like. The moisture responsive switch provides adjustable time delay means to prevent sprinkler flutter due to intermittent rain fall. Switch recovery time delay means may be adjusted to simulate irrigation evaporation conditions of local geographical terrain. Signal alarm means are provided that signal during precipitation independently of sprinkler system control by the moisture responsive switch.

Abstract: A simple electrical timer switch control for consumer users is described. It provides automatic time control of outdoor appliances such as lawn sprinklers. A simple, novel, and unique hermetically sealed outdoor casing provides protection from electrical shock hazzard while maintaining the portable characteristics of the control. Means are provided for selecting any one, or more, time interval(s) in any given 24 hour time period; and, for automatically overriding the selected time interval(s) within any 24 hour period, or combination of 24 hour periods, within any given 14 day period.
