    Abstract: In a preferred embodiment, an improved knife holder for use in wood chippers of the type having a series of substantially radially positioned knives mounted on a rapidly rotatable disc which eliminates the use of a separate counter knife by combining the knife holder and counter knife presently used into one unit the wear area of which is hard-surfaced for longevity.
