Abstract: A lever action archery bow is disclosed which includes a central riser and a pair of working limbs attached to each end of the central riser. A rocking recurve lever is pivotably mounted at the outer end of each limb, and the bowstring is secured to the outer ends of the recurve levers in the conventional manner. Each recurve lever is a lever of the first class the fulcrum of which is mounted adjacent the outer end of its associated limb, and anchors for draw force transfer cables are pivotably attached to each recurve lever at its end remote from the end thereof to which the bow string is attached. The invention includes embodiments in which the recurve levers are rigid, and embodiments in which the recurve levers are resilient working members.
