  • Patent number: 8974584
Abstract: A gas scrubber, equipped with heat exchanger surfaces constructed of thermoplates, suitable for cooling and cleaning a hot gas by avoiding an excessive thermal load of the washing liquid.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 24, 2010
Date of Patent: March 10, 2015
    Assignee: Lurgi GmbH

  • Publication number: 20130202368
Abstract: An apparatus for discharging bulk material from a container containing gas includes a single-shaft screw conveyor including a conveying tube having an axis of symmetry. A purge tank is disposed downstream of the screw conveyor with the conveying tube opening into the purge tank. The purge tank includes ports for a supply and discharge of a purge gas stream and an outlet opening for the bulk material. A closing cone with a cone tip and an axis of symmetry is shiftably mounted on its axis of symmetry. The closing cone is pressed with the cone tip from outside into an outlet opening of the conveying tube. The axis of symmetry of the closing cone coincides with the axis of symmetry of the conveying tube.

  • Patent number: 8431696
Abstract: A process for the continuous production of melamine from urea by means of a fluidized-bed reactor, wherein process gas guided in the process circuit is used as fluidizing gas and wherein the temperature of the process gas at the inlet of the conveying means for the fluidizing gas is adjusted by adjusting the mixing ratio of a process gas stream guided over a scrubber and of a process gas stream guided past the scrubber.
    Type: Grant

  • Publication number: 20060110778
Abstract: A method for identifying a selective persistent Na+ channel blocker by measuring the ability of the blocker to reduce or inhibit a persistent Na+ current to a greater degree than a transient Na+ current. Aspects of the present method provide Na+ depletion/repletion methods for identifying a selective blocker of a persistent Na+ channel, hyperpolarization methods for identifying a blocker of a persistent Na+ channel, and Na/K ATPase pump inhibitor methods for identifying a selective blocker of a persistent Na+ channel.
