  • Publication number: 20230405443
Abstract: A skate and a replaceable skate blade are disclosed. The skate includes a boot and a blade assembly with a blade holder and a blade removable mounted to the holder. A locking pin is displaceable relative the blade holder between a blade locking position in which a tip of the locking pin is in engagement with the blade and a blade releasing position in which the tip of the locking pin is disengaged from the blade. A pin actuator is engageable by a user for translating the pin actuator along a longitudinal axis of the locking pin, wherein translation of the pin actuator induces translation of the locking pin along the longitudinal axis from the blade locking position to the blade releasing position. A biasing element reacts against the pin actuator and biasing the locking pin in the blade locking position.

  • Patent number: 11837858
Abstract: An electrical box which utilizes fastening devices to provide improved box fastening to wall assembly materials with common fasteners. The electrical box possesses one or a plurality of externally situated fastener housings each with characteristics that support fastener placement, guide fastener insertion, limit fastener travel and house the fastener, once fully driven, outside of the box body interior. The externally situated fastener housing's placement outside of the box body allows for fastener insertion from the box body interior while not diminishing volumetric capacity of the box body. Alternative embodiments include round enclosure and bottom mount versions.

  • Patent number: 11707858
Abstract: The handheld cutting tool variants disclose improvements to the handheld cutting tool of U.S. Pat. No. 11,426,888B1/application Ser. No. 17/704,935. The handheld cutting tool variants deploying a razor blade have enhanced cutting made possible by either modifying portions or eliminating portions of the blade holder nosing which in turn is made possible by deploying either one of two newly disclosed blade restraint mechanisms. As with application Ser. No. 17/704,935/U.S. Pat. No. 11,426,888-B1, the tool is comprised predominantly of a handle body, a blade holder assembly which serves to deploy and constrain a replaceable blade and a rotational control assembly actuated by the user that enables the blade holder to rotate between retracted and a plurality of extended positions.

  • Patent number: 11476651
Abstract: The Finish Material Interface Flange provides an interface between specific electrical boxes and adjacent building assembly finish materials. The Finish Material Interface Flange preferred embodiment cooperates with the Flush Wallplate Electrical Box of parent application 17/723,176 serving to frame an electrical wallplate such that the wallplate finished face is essentially co-planar to the surrounding wall assembly finish material finished surface, referred to as a flush wallplate installation. The Finish Material Interface Flange also serves to facilitate a consistent termination of wall assembly materials at the periphery of the electrical box while reducing labor required to do so. The form of the Interface Flange provides the desired flush wallplate installation with minimum variability.

  • Patent number: 11426888
Abstract: Presented embodiments of the handheld cutting tool are capable of cutting in one of two ways: with the cutting edge of the blade only so as to minimize damage to objects not intended to be cut or, alternately, with the point of the blade as with more typical knives. The tool is comprised predominantly of a handle body, a blade holder and a rotational control assembly for allowing the blade holder to rotate. The blade holder holds either a replaceable isosceles trapezoid utility blade or replaceable single edge razor blade and has, in some embodiments, a portion that isolates parts of the blade from objects not intended to be cut. The rotational control assembly enables the blade holder to rotate between retracted and a plurality of extended positions thus permitting the blade holder to deploy the blade at various angles to facilitate proper cutting of materials.

  • Patent number: 11424604
Abstract: The Flush Wallplate Electrical Box Assembly deploys and constrains an electrical wallplate such that the wallplate finished face is essentially co-planar to the surrounding wall assembly finish material finished surface. The assembly is comprised of flush wallplate electrical box possessing an integral housing intended to receive the electrical wallplate, an interface flange serving to interface between the electrical box and wall assembly finish materials, an interface placement guide to control the positioning of the interface flange and an element to protect wiring inside the electrical box during wall assembly construction. The form of the electrical box provides for a building and electrical code compliant installation and simplifies box positioning providing minimum variability. The interface flange provides for a consistent termination of wall assembly materials at the periphery of the electrical box.

  • Patent number: 11326632
Abstract: A coupling with distinct portions formed as a unitary structure and a fastener placed at one end of the coupling both provided to constrain assembly components and control their relative motion linearly along and rotationally around a longitudinal center axis is presented. The coupling portions are composed of complex concave polygon or circular shapes whose normal section is determined by the manner in which the adjacent assembly components are required, alternately, to move or not move. Specific geometric constraints for the various coupling portions must be met. Various coupling embodiments may result from differing fastening elements including screw, friction fit and bonded types being attached to the coupling body piece.

  • Publication number: 20210282502
Abstract: A tongue for a skate boot includes a body having a first segment and a second segment at a lower end. One or both of the first and second segments are displaceable toward the other to a sandwiched position. The first and second segments overlap in the sandwiched position and position part of a toe portion of the boot between the first and second segments. The first segment includes two mating tabs spaced apart from each other, and the second segment includes two segment apertures spaced apart from each other. In the sandwiched position, the first segment engages an inner surface of the part of the toe portion and the second segment engages an outer surface, two toe portion apertures are aligned with the two segment apertures; and the two mating tabs pass into the two toe portion apertures and into the two segment apertures.
