    Abstract: An ion generating apparatus and a method of treatment is disclosed which includes means for generating positively charged ions and means for generating negatively charged ions. A timer is provided which alternately energizes the negative ion generator and the positive ion generator in a predetermined time sequence so that the apparatus alternately emits negative ions and positive ions. The patent is thus alternately subjected to a flow of negative and positive ions.
