  • Patent number: 4517926
Abstract: A device for increasing the fuel efficiency in an internal combustion engine having a fuel supply conduit connecting a fuel supply and a carburetor, a hollow housing disposed in fluid communication with the fluid supply conduit between the fuel supply and the carburetor or firing chambers. A heat source, such as a heating element is mounted within the tubular member for heating the fuel flowing through the hollow housing. While flowing through the housing, the fuel is in intimate contact with metallized pellets of a metal, such as a noble metal deposited on a substrate. The pellets are disposed within the housing. In an alternate embodiment, hereof, two types of catalyst are disposed within the housing, one richer in metal content than the other. In practicing the present invention, the fuel passes through the housing and issues therefrom at a temperature less than 100.degree. C.

  • Patent number: 4482352
Abstract: A novel nonacidic fuel additive which is soluable in gasoline, diesel fuels and other liquid aliphatic hydrocarbons, and which comprises the product produced by mixing ketone peroxides, ketones, a Group III metal, an alcohol, and borontrifloride, or liquid cobalt, or a chlorobenzine. The fuel additive further comprises a ketone solvent, said ketones preferrably being methyl ethyl ketones and their peroxides and solvents. The fuel additive of the present invention, serves to increase power output, lower the ignition point of the carrier fuel, increase mileage, and, especially when used with diesel, reduces the effect of cold temperatures on the viscosity, turbidity, and color of the diesel fuel to temperatures as severe as -40.degree. • Patent number: 4454841
Abstract: An automatic thermal pressure regulator and balancing system adapted for use in an internal combustion engine having a fuel supply conduit connecting a fuel supply and a carburetor. The regulator includes a hollow housing interposed with the fluid supply conduit between the fuel supply and the carburetor. A metallic tubular member is disposed within the housing and includes an inlet disposed in fluid communication with the fuel supply conduit and a pair of outlets communicating with the interior of the housing. A heating element is mounted within the tubular member for heating the fuel flowing between the inlet and outlets of the tubular member. First, second and third co-linear chambers are formed within the housing, with the first and third chambers filled with a metallic mesh material and the second chamber filled with a catalytic agent material reactive with the fuel.
