  • Patent number: 11196894
Abstract: Disclosed is a novel system and method to enables users to map a user's intent finishing selections for a finishing job to each subsystem, e.g., device, protocol, ADF, and finisher unit, of an imaging device. The presently claimed invention creates distinct perspectives and a way to map between perspectives. The distinct perspectives include intent orientation, a print protocol, ADF, copy/scan/fax platen, device, and finisher unit. Through use of novel transformation for automating image rotations to dramatically reduce errors with understandable and repeatable correct outcomes. The formal algorithmic and mathematical approaches disclosed in the present invention makes it easier to describe subsystems of an imaging device. The software implementation using this novel approach eliminates the need for conditional logic based programming customized for each imaging device and its various subsystems.

  • Patent number: 8591151
Abstract: In forming a mine shaft for an underground mine, earth excavated by a boring machine may be transported upwardly by a handling unit to a transfer station where it may be transferred into skips, which may be raised and lowered along skip guides within the shaft hole for transport of the excavated material to an earth surface region. The transfer station may be moved downwardly as excavation progresses.

  • Publication number: 20120180711
Abstract: An electronic device comprising a support plate together with a first and a second cover is provided. One or more electrical components are mounted on the support plate. The first cover is located on and connected to a first surface of the support plate. The first cover is configured and positioned to cover and thereby define a first sealed cavity over the, or each, respective component. The second cover is located on and connected to a second, opposing, surface of the support plate. The second cover is configured to define a second sealed cavity and is positioned to, at least partially, overlap a region of the support plate covered by the first cover.
