  • Patent number: 10272039
Abstract: A sodium nitrite formulation for topical administration is described. The formulation includes an aqueous solution of non-acidified sodium nitrite dispersed in a white petrolatum ointment. The concentration of sodium nitrite in the formulation is about 0.5% to about 3.0% by weight. To prepare the formulation, non-acidified sodium nitrite is completely dissolved in a small quantity of water, sterile filtered and dispersed in white petrolatum ointment.

  • Publication number: 20080008762
Abstract: The invention provides steroid-containing pharmaceutical compositions which are free of classical preservatives and preferably comprise a steroid that is sparingly soluble or substantially insoluble in water, particulate steroid having an average particle size of from about 2.2 to about 10 microns. The pharmaceutical compositions can be used to treat medical conditions, including ophthalmological and back pain conditions.

  • Patent number: 5836836
Abstract: The invention relates to an improved batting machine which presents a batter with a ball which is swung around in a generally circular path. The invention was designed to swing the ball in either a horizontal path or a path which is offset from horizontal. The ball is connected to an extended arm via a tether. The extended arm is also connected to a vertical shaft. The shaft is rotated by an electric motor means, along with a centrifugal clutch. The motor is able to rotate the shaft in either clockwise or counterclockwise direction, thus giving the batter the opportunity to bat right and/or left handed. The shaft motor assembly is supported by a plurality of adjustable supports.

  • Patent number: 5256356
Abstract: A method for forming an opening in a container in which upper and lower keys, each having a shear surface, are mounted in the upper and lower mold portions, respectively, such that the shear surfaces face each other in substantially parallel alignment to form an opening in the container as the mold portions travel towards each other. The lower key is mounted about a pivot pin and spring oriented such that its shear surface rotates along an axis normal to a path of travel of the mold portions.

  • Patent number: 5162123
Abstract: A spring-oriented rotary shear key is used in a mold for forming a container with a latch opening, from a sheet of deformable material. The mold has upper and lower mold portions with die surfaces disposed facing each other and configured to press the sheet of deformable material inserted therebetween into a container. Upper and lower keys, each having a shear surface, are mounted in the upper and lower mold portions, respectively, such that the shear surfaces face each other in substantially parallel alignment to form an opening in the container as the mold portions travel towards each other. The lower key is mounted such that its shear surface rotates along an axis normal to a path of travel of the mold portions.
