  • Publication number: 20230001146
Abstract: A guiding device for a vascular catheter that is inserted over a guidewire. The guiding device comprising a tapered component for passing through a bore of the vascular catheter and extending from a distal end thereof. The tapered component has an aperture through which the guidewire may pass so that the tapered component (12) may move along the guidewire. A pushing means extends from the tapered component and is configured to extend beyond a proximal end of the vascular catheter. The tapered component comprises a first section, a second section and the third section. The first section is disposed between the proximal end of the tapered component and the second section, the second section is disposed between the first section and the third section, and the third section is disposed between the second section and a distal end of the tapered component. The first section is a cylinder and the second and the third sections are conical. The taper of the second section differs from the taper of the third section.

  • Patent number: 8267018
Abstract: Load supports (10), in the form of pallets, have a front plate (12), a rear plate (14), frame members (20) and an upper surface member (22). Two pallets (10) can come together as shown, one inverted relative to the other and can inter fit which results in space saving when the pallets (10) are not in use. For example, the dimensions of the front and rear plates (12, 14) allow the rear plates (14) to be received in-board of the front plates (12) and resting against the frame members (20) of the other pallet (10). Once inter fitted, the volume of the pallets (10) is less than the sum of the volume of two independent pallets.

  • Patent number: 7854359
Abstract: A quick connect assembly for mounting a bicycle rack to a vehicle bumper includes a mounting bracket securely connectable to the bumper and a pivoting arm integrally connected to the bicycle rack and mountable to the mounting bracket. The mounting bracket has a horizontal base member and a vertical wall extending from the rear edge of the base member. Along each lateral edge of the base member is a vertical side wall having through apertures for receiving portions of the pivoting arm. A latch plate is centrally located on the mounting bracket between the two side walls. The latch plate has notches formed therein for receiving a latch pin of the pivoting arm to hold the bicycle rack in the vertically upward position or the horizontal working position. An arcuate cam formation separates the notches. The pivoting arm has spaced side plates each having a side extending peg for disposition in the apertures of the side walls.

  • Publication number: 20040064930
Abstract: Apertures in airfoils for use in a hot gas path of a turbine are formed from the interior of the airfoil to the exterior in circumstances where line-of-sight access from locations external to the nozzle is inhibited or prohibited. A water jet nozzle head is disposed in a cavity within the airfoil and angled at the desired inclination to cut an angled hole through the airfoil wall using a water jet and abrasive material contained in the water. A protective device, e.g., a backstop or shield, is provided on the outside of the nozzle to prevent damage to other portions of the nozzle from the water jet which would otherwise impinge but for the protective device.

  • Publication number: 20010009639
Abstract: A pallet 10 for use with a racking system has an upper surface 12 and engagement means in the form of hooks 14 and a rear rim 16 which will engage a racking system. A continuous base 18 is spaced below the upper surface 12, in use. This allows the pallet to sit flat on a roller conveyor system, for instance. Apertures 20 allow fork lift tines to be introduced and are provided on each of the four sides of the pallet 10, for ease of handling. Structures within the pallet add to safety by ensuring that the pallet is restrained against sliding or tipping on the fork lift tines.
