    Abstract: A silt fence comprises a plurality of spaced stakes having pointed ends for being anchored to the ground. A fabric is secured to and spans the stakes to create the fence. The fabric is secured to the stakes by means of mounting strips positioned against each stake with the fabric therebetween. Fasteners extend through the strips and fabric and into the stakes.
