  • Patent number: 11593044
Abstract: According to examples, an apparatus may include a processor and a memory on which is stored instructions that when executed by the processor, cause the processor to determine that data stored in a memory device of a printer cartridge installed in a printing device is to be updated. The printing device may be in remote communication with the apparatus via a network connection. The instructions may also cause the processor to identify update data that is to be used to update the data stored in the memory device. The instructions may further cause the processor to communicate, via the network connection with the printing device, the identified update data to the printing device. The printing device may update the data stored in the memory device of the printer cartridge with the update data.

  • Publication number: 20220382490
Abstract: In some examples, a computing device can include a processing resource and a memory resource storing instructions to cause the processing resource to receive an authentication signal from an imaging device, authenticate the imaging device using the authentication signal, and transmit print enablement data to the imaging device to enable print job functionality for the imaging device in response to authenticating the authentication signal.

  • Patent number: 8848249
Abstract: A method for creating an image to be printed is provided. A first halftone pattern and a second halftone pattern for respective first and second periodic clustered dot halftone regions of the image are selected. The regions have respective frequencies and one of the frequencies is higher than the other frequency. A transition region is determined. The transition region includes a boundary between the two regions and includes additional portions of the two regions beyond the boundary. The two halftone patterns are blended with each other in the transition region based on a blending ratio of the two halftones where the blending ratio changes as a function of distance between the edges of the transition region.

  • Patent number: 8699905
Abstract: A toner coverage determination system and method are described. The toner coverage determination system may include a memory storing a module comprising machine readable instructions to receive an input image, and generate a grid including a plurality of points corresponding to pixels to be sampled on the input image. The machine readable instructions may further sample the pixels corresponding to the plurality of points, evaluate pixel intensity values for the sampled pixels, and determine a toner coverage value based on the evaluated pixel intensity values.

  • Patent number: 7443413
Abstract: A method for adjusting a laser diode drive current pulse, comprises providing a power correction table comprising drive current pulse correction factors corresponding to counter positions. The method also comprises providing a jump table comprising counter position adjustments corresponding to correction factors. A count value of a position within the counter positions is maintained. Maintaining the count value comprises indexing the count value to the jump table and incrementing the count value for each of a series of pixel clocks. A correction factor is determined, wherein determining the current correction factor comprises indexing the count value to the power correction table.
