  • Publication number: 20070132149
Abstract: Methods of making foaming nozzles for use with trigger sprayers are provided. The methods include molding a nozzle having a nozzle body containing a spray head and coupled by a live hinge to a door having a portal with a screen in the portal. The door is folded on the live hinge so that the door covers the spray head, and then substantially permanently on the nozzle body with the door covering the spray head.

  • Publication number: 20070119982
Abstract: A nozzle has a nozzle body with a front, a back, and at least one side surface extending therebetween. A spray head extends from the back towards the front of the nozzle body. A door is provided with a portal within which there is a screen. The door is hingedly coupled to the front of the nozzle and is preferably provided with a pair of spaced apart hooks which engage mating slots on the front of the nozzle to hold the door in place covering the front of the nozzle body. The screen is preferably integrally molded in the door and the door and nozzle body are preferably formed in the same mold. The nozzle can be used in conjunction with a conventional trigger sprayer.

  • Publication number: 20070114303
Abstract: A nozzle has a front, a back, and at least one flat surface extending therebetween. A door is coupled to the intersection of the front and flat surface by a live hinge. Optionally, the door has a portal within which a screen is mounted. The exterior surface of the door is provided with one or more curved hooks and the flat surface is provided with corresponding number of mating slots with which the hook(s) engage(s). Preferably, the interior of the door is provided with one or more curved hooks and a corresponding number of mating slots are provided on the front of the nozzle on an edge opposite the live hinge. Preferably, the door is provided with a tab which extends outward beyond the periphery of the nozzle on the edge of the door opposite the live hinge.

  • Patent number: 6770825
Abstract: The present invention is a reinforced connection between a distributor body and a distributor cap. The distributor cap rests on the distributor body as in the conventional arrangements. However, an additional clamp is provided to mount over the interface between the distributor cap and distributor sandwiching the components there between. A screw/bolt passes through the clamp and through both the cap and distributor body and engages a threaded portion of the clamp. By simply tightening the screw/bolt, the cap and distributor are clamped together without inducing concentrated stresses in the distributor body. The clamp may be used in a retrofit application to strengthen the existing connection between the cap and distributor body, repair the connection in a cracked or otherwise damaged distributor, or installed as part of an original equipment design.

  • Patent number: 5762236
Abstract: A trigger sprayer comprises a dispenser body, a pump mechanism adjacent the dispenser body, and a trigger adjacent the pump mechanism. The pump mechanism including a pump element moveable relative to the dispenser body between first and second positions. The trigger is connected to the pump element and moveable between first and second positions wherein movement of the trigger to its first position causes movement of the pump element to its first position and movement of the trigger to its second position causes movement of the pump element to its second position. The trigger sprayer is configured so that a first application of force by a user is needed to move the trigger from the first position to the second position and a second application of force by a user is needed to move the trigger from the second position to the first position. The trigger has first and second finger engaging portions and a finger receiving opening for receiving at least one finger of a user.

  • Patent number: 5695095
Abstract: A trigger sprayer apparatus comprises a trigger for manipulation by a user of the apparatus to dispense a spray, stream or foam of a liquid from the apparatus, the trigger having finger engagement areas across the front surface of the trigger that increase in size as the trigger extends from its attachment to the trigger sprayer to a distal end of the trigger.

  • Patent number: 4459932
Abstract: An all-terrain and amphibious automotive vehicle is provided by simple modification of an existing automotive vehicle. Supplemental axles have independent wheels which can be raised when not needed. An endless track is trained over the wheels on each side of the vehicle. Inflatable members (11-13) are secured to the chassis along its longitudinal edges and at the front and the rear of the chassis, and a further inflatable element (10) beneath the chassis serves as a float for the vehicle. The power-driven wheels (6') are interconnected with the other wheels (6) by means of sprockets (16) and transmission chains (17) as well as by a clutch (18) on the driven axle (1). It is possible to brake at least one of the power-driven wheels (6') to steer the vehicle by driving.

  • Patent number: 4037327
Abstract: A measuring wicket for dogs comprising a U-shaped member having a pair of spaced tubular legs and an interconnecting bar. A cross bar extends between the legs below the interconnecting bar. Each of said legs has an enlarged boss at the bottom thereof. There are grooves in leg extensions telescopically mounted in said legs and latching means in said bosses which cooperate with the grooves in the leg extensions. The degree of extension is viewed by means of cooperation between the boss and through a particular groove and indicia is provided on the leg to indicate the height of the cross bar.

  • Patent number: 3943630
Abstract: A measuring wicket for dogs comprising a U-shaped member having a pair of spaced tubular legs and an interconnecting bar. A cross bar extends between the legs below the interconnecting bar. Each of the legs has a plurality of spaced openings which cooperate with latching means on leg extensions to set the leg extensions at predetermined positions. The degree of extension is viewed by means of the upper most spaced opening through which the leg may be seen, said opening serving as a window for the indicator enscribed on the leg extension. Each opening is numbered to give the exact height of the cross bar with reference to the indicated setting of the leg extension.
