Patent number: 11070911Abstract: An audio system for a vehicle including a plurality of personal sound zones, each personal sound zone comprising a plurality of microphones, an audio controller, and a plurality of speakers. The system is configured to allow the occupants of a vehicle to experience their own dedicated sound environment without the sound from one dedicated sound environment interfering with the sound from another dedicated sound environment. The system includes features for controlling the audio of each dedicated sound environment, including passing audio from one dedicated sound environment to another dedicated sound environment.Type: GrantFiled: June 28, 2019Date of Patent: July 20, 2021Assignee: Karma Automotive LLCInventors: Michael Groene, Andre Franco Luis, Joe Durre, George Huan

Patent number: 8280429Abstract: A method and apparatus for controlling thermal energy generation in a User Equipment (UE) operating in a radio telecommunication network. The thermal energy generation is directly proportional to a transmit power level in the UE, and a Node B allocates transmit power levels to a plurality of UEs through scheduling grants. Upon request by the UE, the Node B allocates a dedicated scheduling grant to the UE authorizing a higher transmit power. If the UE subsequently overheats, it sends a power reduction request to the Node B. Upon approval, all or part of the dedicated grant is removed, and the UE transmits at a lower power level to reduce thermal generation. The Node B retains control of the grant and may reallocate it to a common scheduling grant or may allocate another dedicated grant to a different UE.Type: GrantFiled: February 9, 2012Date of Patent: October 2, 2012Assignee: Telefonaktiebolaget L M Ericsson (Publ)Inventor: Hong Xin George Huan

Patent number: 8233877Abstract: A mobile terminal capable of operating in a Discontinuous Transmission mode during an active voice call with a remote party is also capable of operating in a Discontinuous Reception mode during the same active voice call. Particularly, a receiving mobile terminal monitors when the remote party stops transmitting speech during the active voice call. If there are no speech signals to receive, the mobile terminal switches it's receiver “off” for selected receive time slots to save battery power.Type: GrantFiled: April 9, 2008Date of Patent: July 31, 2012Assignee: Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson (publ)Inventor: Hong Xin George Huan

Patent number: 7497739Abstract: An electrical connector assembly includes a connector body having a first mating face (21), an opposite second mating face (31), and a mounting face (25 or 35) disposed adjacent a printed circuit board (1), which is capable of providing different predetermined voltages. A first group of contact terminals (4) extends from the first mating face towards the second mating face. A second group of contact terminals (5) extends from the first mating face towards the mounting face. A third group of contact terminals (6) extends from the second mating face towards the mounting face. Thus, the electrical connector assembly provides a flexible connection to any commodity devices of requiring different predetermined voltages.Type: GrantFiled: June 7, 2007Date of Patent: March 3, 2009Assignee: Hon Hai Precision Ind.
