    Abstract: A high speed electrical connector assembly (1) comprises a female connector (2) and a male connector (3) assembled together to be electrical connection to a printed circuit board (9). A plurality of differential pairs of signal contact (51) and a plurality pairs of ground contact (53) with the pairs of signal contacts (51) arranged therebetween are secured in the connector assembly (1). Each of the differential pairs of signal contact (51) has a first contact engaging portion (511) which is accessible from the female connector (2), and includes a second contact engaging portion (513), extending away from the first engaging portion (511) and accessible from the male connector (3).     Abstract: An electrical connector (2) comprises an insulative housing including a mating tongue (20) exposed in a mating port (23), and three type contacts. The mating tongue has a front face (200) thereof. The three type contacts include two power contacts (201, 203) being on two opposite side regions of the mating tongue, three signal ground contacts (206) located between said two power contacts, and two pairs of signal contacts (205) each located between the corresponding two adjacent signal ground contacts. One of the two power contacts (201) extends much closer to the front face of the mating tongue than the other (203) of the two power contacts. This arrangement of two different-lengths has the ability to handle the instantaneous inrush current through the former power contact, i.e. the pre-charge power pin.

A pair of solder components (31) is located at opposite sides of the body, each extending from adjacent one of the upper and bottom surfaces towards the other in a first direction, and then reversely in an opposite second direction towards the mounting surface. The configuration of the solder components will take full advantage of the width of the side section of the connector body along a vertical direction so as to enable the solder components to have a strong connection between the connector and the circuit board.

The negative terminal has short and long spring elements (311, 315) defining first and second supporting point (311A, 315B) respectively, such that in an initial released position, the button-type battery is lifted up by the first and second supporting points bearing against the base wall, and in a fully released position, that battery is lifted by the second supporting point against the base wall with the first supporting point leaving away from the base wall. The above spring elements provides two-stage elastic forces, for ease of the user to release the battery from the battery holder.
